“Excellent Hotel”

We are Americans who live and work in Germany. We found this hotel to be exceptional on all fronts: service, cleanliness and comfort. The staff quietly goes out of its way to make you feel welcome and provide excellent service. Consider askin for a smoking room, even if you don't smoke, and you may end up with a terrace to enjoy the Rome evenings.

“So central and so comfortable”

It's not often that a hotel turns out to be exactly as advertised. The location is ideal for that weekend stay. All the staff are very welcoming and helpful.The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable, although a reduction in temperature would have been welcome! Breakfast is simple and effortless. Great location: very quite area, but close to all main attractions. Room was OK, clean and comfortable for the category of the hotel.

“Excellent Hotel”

The hotel was very clean and staff very courteous and helpful. They spoke good English. We had a very good sized triple room and it was comfortable. Lots of satellite channels on tv but none in English. Pleasant breakfast room and good quality continental breakfast witjh attentive staff. Location fairly far out from tourist attractions but bus stop directly outside hotel and Metro station a good 15 minute walk away.

“Traditional Rome Hotel”

Check-in very smooth. Bags taken to room by friendly porter. Lovely room with balcony, adequately spacious even with third bed. Lovely clean bathroom. Comfy bed. Extra pillows provided immediately. Good, adequate continental breakfast. Breakfast serving staff did what they had to but not very sociable. Was told rather abruptly that I was not allowed to take my coffee from breakfast room to our room. But great restaurant/bar next door provided coffee any time to take away, and did a great meal also. Altogether we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in hotel and Rome.

“Great Place to jump off from”

This little hotel is within walking distance of all the key locations that you want to see in the city of Rome itself. The staff were very helpful and easy to deal with. We had a wonderful gal every morning at our breakfast . Always wearing a big smile for us. Only concern was no english tv. Not a major one but it would have been nice to round off the night with a little news. I'd definitely go back and stay there.

“Second time-will definately book again!”

This is a beautifully maintained hotel with very helpful staff! The location is quite cloase to the Vatican, and within easy walking distance to the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and the Trevi Fountain. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel, and cabs are plentiful. The rooms are immaculate and very comfortable, with air-conditioning, hairdryer, and minibar. There is a charming breakfast room and patio, with pleasant staff and large continental breakfast buffet. This is the second time I've stayed at the Hotel Diplomatic, and I certainly will book with them again!

“A great place to stay for the price.”

We were very pleased with the Hotel Diplomatic. The staff were extremely accommodating and spoke English. Although the room was smaller than we had expected, it served our needs. The bathroom was adequate and the Continental Breakfast in the morning was good. The best thing we could say is that the bus stop was right out front of the Hotel which made it extremely convenient to get around to see most of the major tourist attractions. We took the 110 bus for 15 Euro for the day and could get on and off making it a great way to see Rome at our own leisure. We also were within walking distance of the Spanish Steps, Piazza Del Popolo, and the Vatican, which we also visited on foot. We even took a day trip to Capr which was arranged by the hotel staff for us. I would definately recommend this Hotel for the price and location.
