“Must stay here!”
I read so many reveiws to find this place and we were not dissapointed! We enjoyed our stay here so much that we will only stay @ the Hotel Dei Consoli when in Rome. The roof top breakfast terrace was superb and the staff delightful. Our room was great, we were given the only room with a balcony and it was perfect!
“Great Hotel”
This is a lovely hotel, very friendly staff, great rooftop breakfast with views of the Vatican. Rooms are small (as you would expect for a boutique hotel) but are immaculate and have a lovely shower room with power shower (and joy of joys no fluctuating pressure or temperature when you get in).
“Excellent place!”
We really enjoyed our stay. It was quite and clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was great. The cappaccino's were wonderful.
“Lovely hotel near the Vatican”
I chose this hotel based on previous travellers' recommendations and I was not disappointed. The hotel is in a great location near the Vatican, the room was very clean although small by North American standards, the bathroom was huge with a great shower, and the hotel staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The front desk staff answered all of our questions, gave us restaurant recommendations and the gentleman in the breakfast room was always cheerful and attentive. Although some travellers might think this hotel is a bit far from the main attractions of Rome, we had no difficulty walking to the Coliseum, the Trastevere district, the Via della Corso and even down to the Aventine Hill. For those who do not care to walk, the hotel is right on several main bus lines and the metro is not far. It was great to be able to have breakfast and be almost the first people in line to see the Vatican Museums. If I were to visit Rome again I would gladly stay at this hotel.
“Hotel proche Vatican”
Hotel calme, dans une rue à sens unique, proche de la place saint -Pierre et de la station de metro Ottaviano (très pratique pour se rendre dans le centre-ville). Personnel sympathique. Petit dejeuner copieux. Service de taxi (en berline) pour retour a l'aeroport très pratique mais un peu cher. Hotel tout à fait recommandable.
“Beatiful place to stay”
Although the room was small, my overall experience was excellent. Very close to the Vatican and to public transportation.
“besta bargain in roma”
this is a quality small hotel in a very convienant location. its only 3 blocks to the vatican wall and you can walk to most of rome's major attractions(all within 2 miles). the full american breakfast was awesome--and it's quality was as good as the better than rome's major hotels at 4 times the cost. although small,this is a quality value and the staff was accomodating.i will return!!!!
“A nice surprise”
I had read the reviews from other customers, some of which were not that good (specially regarding the service and the size of the room), but since the main puporse of my visit was to go to the Vatican, I decided to take my chance and book it. I was very pleasantly surprised: the room is small, yes, but the decoration is beautiful and cozy, neo-classical style. The location is perfect - only 2 blocks away from the Vatican gates, 1 block away from a taxi station and 2 blocks away from the tube. Plus, it is located at a corner with Cola di Renzo, which is full of nice shops. It would have been perfect if it was located on the other side of the river, closer to more "touristy" attractions. Will definitely come back!
“Ideal short stay hotel”
Ideal for a short break. Clean no-frills functional hotel but has a good atmosphere and very polite and welcoming staff.
“Enjoyed location, ambiance, and friendly staff”
This hotel is in a very good location, walking distance to the Vatican, Santa Maria Del Popollo, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and many shops and restaurants. The front desk was very helpful with tips on bus and train info and local sites. The room was small but very clean and the decor perfect for an italian feel. The breakfast was very good. Cappucino excellent.
