“More than I expected”

Everything about this hotel was great. I booked a standard double room for myself and my boyfriend and they upgraded us to a 1bdrm apartment at no extra cost. We saved so much money because of this as we were able to cook our own food! The staff were very helpful and courteous any time we had a question. The location of the hotel is perfect too, it is right on the main shoping street which has tons of great shops, cafes and restaurants. I would stay here again and will definitely recommend it to my friends.

“Awesome Location!”

Hotel Fron is a centrally located hotel in walking distance to everything. As a solo traveller it was easy to get around by foot and see the city. Shopping, restaurants and tourist attractions were all close by. Front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Loved the free wi-fi and free breakfast. Room was cozy and clean. I would highly recommend this hotel to all my friends and family.

“A great boutique hotel in downtown Reykjavik”

Sure Reykjavik is small compared to other European capitals, but Hotel Fon's location is right at the center, which is great when it's raining or cold. We stayed at another Reykjavik hotel after a road trip and while it was nice, it was far from downtown. Most brand, big, more expensive hotels are rather far away from the most interesting and fun part of the city. Fon is comfortable and cozy, the breakfast buffet is good, and the hotel service is great at suggesting the best deals for organized tours as well as for restaurant and bars. And I insist, the location is perfect.

Hotel tres bien tenu, chambre assez grande, en plein centre ville... ce qui peut poser un probleme pour le stationnement; mais en marchant un peu, il y a des emplacements non payant pas tres loin. Les vendredi et samedi soirs, un peu de bruit dans Laugavegur.... si vous ne supportez pas, demandez une chambre sur la cour.

“Meilleur hébergement de notre séjour”

Nous avons résidé 3 nuits à l'hôtel Fron. Tout était parfait! Nous avions loué un mini-appartement. Le coin cuisine est très bien équipé. Il y a une table pour manger, un bureau et un sofa. La décoration est agréable. L'hôtel est très bien situé pour pouvoir visiter Reykyavik à pied. Nous avons stationné notre voiture dans un stationnement payant à proximité car le stationnement de l'hôtel était plein, mais ce ne fut pas trop coûteux. Nous vous recommandons chaudement cet hôtel.

“Perfect place to stay in Reykjavik”

Hotel Fron is in a perfect location in the centre of town. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were better than expected -- very clean and modern, with a small kichenette and probably the most comfortable hotel beds we have ever slept in.

“Hulda - A1 super receptionist!”

I was very slightly worried about booking a 3* hotel but any apprehension soon disappeared. We were met by Hulda the receptionist and bless her, she was always on hand to help (even to the point of retrieving my lost hat and having it delivered back to the hotel!!!) The room was spacious - even had self catering equipement in.Very clean and beds comfortable. Breakfast thankfully was between 7 - 10am for us layabouts but needed especailly when out hunting for the Northern Lights the night before and not returning to the hotel until 2am. I have absolutely no problems with recommending this hotel and will choose it again when I return. Just two notes - Firstly, breakfast finishes at 10am but 9.50am on the dot, they'll start putting things away. Secondly, I wish we had a slight warning, the sink in the bathroom had a slight but awful odour - this is due to the country's hot water and heating system.

This is very nice hotel, very close to everything. They have lots of leaflets and offers for excursions. Would stay again. (we had kitchenette in our room)
