“Clean but ugly hotel”
The Highliner is a nice and clean hotel, located at the water front of Prince Rupert. Unfortunately it is an ugly concrete tower in an area which is more like a fisherman village. The view from the room on the fifth floor was awsome nevertheless. Prince Rupert was only one night for us so we enjoyed the stay. I would recommend it to friends.
“Good location”
Relatively inexpensive comfortable hotel a couple blocks from parliament. I'd stay there again.
“well situated hotel”
The hotel is a concrete block. The room had a great view of the harbour. The staff were courteous and helpful
“Cost”
expensive
“Not worth the money”
Allthough the staff were very friendly and the location was great. The hotel lacked that nice clean comforting feeling. The hotel offers a small resturant and car rentals are available on the first floor. The general upkeep was not there. The hotel needs a good cleaning.
“Affordable choice”
If you're a turist, Prince Rupert is not exactly the most attractive place and likely what you'll need is a place to spend the night while you'll spend the day either fishing, whale watching or bear watching somewhere off Prince Rupert. If you're looking for a cheap place to sleep, with a few places to eat nearby, then this hotel is a very reasonable choice. It is also the meeting point where you catch the bus that does the airport connection (via ferry), which is convenient. If, on the other hand, you favour comfort to price, you should probably look for something else.
“Room unsatisfactory”
Electrical thermostst didn't work and could not shut off the electric baseboard heater had to leave the Patio door open to cool off overheated room
“Port Rupert”
Located at the airport pickup, only reason to stay is this convience
