“Excellent location and lovely hotel.”
We loved our stay at the Residence Inn. The room was lovely and had a small kitchen. The bed was comfy and the bathroom, while small, was well organized - the vanity was OUTSIDE the bathroom which is great. We had a nice view of downtown Philly and our home town of Cherry Hill, NJ. My only two complaints were that the TV is quite old and the sound was awful and that there is only one night stand...so there was no place for me to put my glasses at night.

Well appointed room with great city hall view, great bedding and amenities in suite-type room.Perfect for walking around city,shopping,dining and clubs.
“Great Location, Great Hotel”
The room was a good size, good water pressure, plenty of hot water, housekeeping did a great job and were pleasant. Comfortable bed and plenty of towels. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and items kept refilled. Dinner was also great (Mon - Wed, Thurs being desserts only) and saved us some money. No oven, but big fridge and microwave. Couple of front desk staff were not as pleasant or helpful as others, but not outright rude. Plash bus (ask for a brochure from the hotel)and city bus both stop right outside the front door. Walking distance to many of the tourist sights and to the Kimmel theatre, a short stroll to the Reading Terminal market which is the only place you need to find for food. Originally thought we would not use the Residence Inn because of cost until we found it with airfare in a package deal through Expedia for overall $1000 savings - thanks!
“Great hotel stay”
My husband and I regularly stay at the Residence Inn during the Christmas holidays and have always had great service. This year we were grounded in Philly due to the east coast snow storm. We were supposed to check out on 12/26/10 morning but when we found out that our flights were cancelled for 2 days I was able to extend our stay at the hotel with no problem. Another plus is that they've added a computer room on the lower level which was very handy for printing out boarding passes and getting info on flights. The laundry room and fitness centers are also conviently located on the same level. These features combined with free hot breakfast, ATM machine, and nightly free dinner makes this hotel a great value in a downtown location.
“Home away from home”
Attending a week-long convention while working as an online instructor provided me with a unique need for a hotel. I needed to be close to the convention center and have access to working internet. The vacation package was cheaper for me to stay for the week than to use the conference rates and stay for a few days so I opted to be a tourist while in Philadelphia as well. The hotel suite was perfect for every facet of my vacation/business. Having it close to everything was wonderful and having a hotel that was so quiet that I thought I was the only person there was incredible as I could work without distraction on my online teaching! I highly recommend this location!
“We Now Have A New Hotel”
OMG it was great. this is not the regular hotel we stay when in Phlly, but we now have a new hotel. Because it was a "residence inn" we had a full kitchen equipped with everything we needed to prepare and eat meals if we choose. The full breakfast was an unexpected pleasure.

Had a very enjoyable stay. Located in the center of the business district with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommended.

“Our Favorite Place to Stay”
When we are staying in Philly for more than one night, we always stay here (if it's only one night, we often still stay here, unless it's more conveneit to choose another hotel closer to the purpose of our visit). Our six-year-old daughter refers to it as our "apartment" in the city. Her favorite part of the stay is when we go to breakfast - her in her pajamas - and we let mommy sleep in. For us, it's a great location, a good price, and a great value. The parking costs are high - but you'll have that pretty much anywhere in the city.
“Really Great!”
The Residence Inn was comfortable, the staff exceptionally friendly and it came with perks like a HUGE breakfast every day and DINNER Monday-Thursday. There is an intimate lounge and a great little store with snacks you can make in your own kitchenette. NICE! It is a great location just next to the convention area,convenience store nearby, a great Macys and, secure in Philly? Next to the Police station --so I felt safe in the big city! The bed was comfy! And, it was reasonable. I loved the experience!
