“Great location. Breakfast included”
The location of the hotel was great. We could walk to a lot of places or take the metro from the Chatelet station which is a block away. The rooms are small but comfortable. The bathrooms are very nice. Breakfast was included and was very good.
“Good choice!”
I enjoyed staying at this hotel which is centrally located and in a nice part of town. We could walk out of our hotel and in about 100 feet, see the Louvre. We were 2 blocks from the Les Halles metro stop and right around the corner from the Hippopotamus restaurant. The hotel was clean, the bathrooms were decent in size with a very nice shower/steam bath and a funky european hairdryer. (looked like a vaccum cleaner but worked great!) Breakfast was included and tasted great. The staff did a wonderful job and were very polite. I highly recommend this hotel if you are planning to stay in downtown Paris close to the main attractions!
“Excellent location - highly recommend”
This is the second time I've stayed at Tonic Hotel Du Louvre. You can't get a better location. It's a short walk to the Lourve and the area is packed with cafes and heaps of shops. Also only a short walk to a number of different metro stops - the main being on the same line as Gare du Nore, so very simple and easy to reach the Eurostar. If you book in advance you can get a good rate. The rooms are a little run down - but it's still an excellent place for value for money. And it includes a very decent breakfast. We were in Paris for 3 nights and every night ended coming back and dining near the hotel as the cafes were close and had a great vibe. Easy walking distance to Notre Dame, St Michaels, the Seine. The only problem with this stay was that our room over looked the street and was quite noisy.
“wonderful location!”
Our stay at Tonic Hotel du Louvre was very pleasant. All the previous reviews I've read about it are true, which was why I chose this particular hotel. It was very safe and convenient. Just needed a place to sack out. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The only thing was that the lobby entrance and the entrance to the rooms are separate. At night, the entrance to the rooms gets locked. Although I understand it was a safety issue, it was a bit unnerving to know we were locked in. One morning I came down a little after six and the front desk must have forgotten to unlock that door. I did not have my room key with me so i was locked in the building with no way of contacting the front desk since there was no phone in that lobby. But the guy finally came to unlock the door but he looked at me funny.
“Would stay here again.”
Great location for museums and sights. Desk staff speaks English and are helpful. Breakfast includes cold cut ham, croissants, mixed fruit cocktail, hard-boiled eggs. We enjoyed this hotel and it's staff.
“"Concerned"”
The staff was incredible, very helpful. The rooms immaculate and comfortable (though very small). Our concern was the two channels of pornography on the TV. These were not pay-for-view channels but in the regular channel lineup.
“Paris on a budget”
We had read previous reviews of the hotel that mentioned that the hotel was a bit shabby. Yes, the common areas could use some updating but we also found it a fair deal for our money. The location was ideal, the hotel staff friendly and helpful, and the room was clean. I would stay there again for the location and the helpfulness of the staff. It has the smallest elevator I have ever seen (even using European standards). We did not find the hotel breakfast to be a good value, but we found plenty of options nearby. We found the hotel charming and it met our basic comfort needs.
“Remarkable Value in Ideal Location”
Firm mattress, great water pressure, substantial breakfast buffet (7:00-11:00 am)enhance already excellent value in remarkable location. Despite some quirks mentioned by previous guests, wholehearted endorsement for this solid three-star.
“Excellent location!”
Excellent hotel and location to many sites!
“Perfect Location”
Superb staff and good clean rooms, all you need to base yourself from to explore Paris. The hotel is clean and adequete as somewhere to stay, do not expect luxury as you get what you pay for. We had three nights without issue!
