“Paris Hotel”
Room was very small with hardly any space to walk around the bed. Two people in the room would be very difficult. Limited amenities provided -- I think only a hair dryer and a bottle of body wash/shampoo combined. Room did not even have pen & paper! Fair TV reception -- CNN and unwatchable BBC. Room and bathroom and hotel were very clean. 12 Euro breakfast was extra and the almost the only restaurant open in the early AM. Hotel is in touristy area so it was quite crowded at night and on a Saturday night quite noisy outside. Staff was delightful and quite helpful. Would only recommend it with reservations.
“great neighborhood, nice hotel, hit-or-miss service”
Fabulous location. Of the 4 staff members I interacted with, 2 were very friendly and helpful and the other 2 were rude and unhelpful. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Wifi is available but not free.
“Want to go back!”
The hotel is in the perfect spot, easily accessible to everywhere in Paris. Staff was very nice. Rooms are not very large but very charming.
“Perfect first trip”
It was our first trip to Paris and location was the most important factor for us, as we planned to walk everywhere! I read the travel reviews and all sounded positive. We were not surprised by the small room, but very glad we requested a balcony at extra charge. The hotel is in a perfect location! It is less than a block from the Seine and a metro hub, one block from Ile de la Cite, and within walking distance from wonderful restaurants. The 24 hour concierge service was very helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, the minimal amenities did not impact our stay unpleasantly. It is really a very charming hotel in the fabulous, neighborhood-y Latin Quarter. Request a balcony and do what we did, begin every day and end every night sitting at your little cafe table, just taking it all in.
“Will return”
My son wanted to experience the Latin Quarter, so we did. Nice room and bath although small, but such is expected in Europe as I have visited several times. The safe in the room was extremely nice. One evening we heard a bit of noise coming from the street but we were in the Latin Quarter and noise is to be expected. Our room also faced the street. Great that the staff spoke English. They even humored me when I tried to practice my Francais. We did not utilize the mini bar nor did we eat breakfast at the hotel because we could get anything we wanted to eat from the vendors just outside our door. Check out was a breeze. We just turned in the keys. No hidden fees or surprises at check out. Will definitely return and recommend Europe St. Severin to friends.
“Great little spot. Perfect location”
We picked a great spot! Right in the middle of the Latin Quarter it was close to everything we wanted to see. 5 min walk to Notre Dame. 15min walk to the Louvre. 10min metro ride to the Eiffel tower and the Arc de Triumphe. Rooms were very small but comfortable and the staff was super friendly and laid back. And the Latin Quarter is. A great place to stay. No worries about where to eat or grab a few drinks. They are all right outside your window
“Great location, great value and a very good stay”
Truly a good experience for a downtown property. Easy to access and it exceeded my expectatiobs.
“Super location, extremely helpful staff”
Love it.
“Great location strange smells”
Room smelled of sewage at times. Possibly from the drains outside of room balcony.
“Heaven on the balcony”
I had to insist to get a non-smoking room, which seems to be a rarity. However, having specified it in my reservation, I was given a room with a balcony, without extra charge. The front desk employees were helpful, some of them more than others. Exceptional location close to the Seine and the Bateaubus services. I loved the activity in this Quartier Latin area.
