“Excellent accomadations, locations, and staff”
An excellent place to stay. We did not do the breakfast buffet. Quite expensive for the same items you could pick up at the Bakery just around the corner. The staff were extremely helpful. We actually remembered them from our stay a few years ago. A sign of good place to work is the consistency of staff over years. Will stay there again during our next trip.
“Location, Location, Location”
You will find that the Mercure Opera Garnier places you in the center of the action. It is within walking distance (by Parisian standards) of major sites such as the Louvr and shopping sites such as the Printemps department store. It is also close to the Gare Saint Lazare, a major Metro and suburban transit center. Best of all, it is on a street that is only one-block long, easing the task of telling cab drivers where you want to go.
“Great location and ambiance.”
We stayed for 7 nights - our first experience with a 3 star hotel. Our room was small but very comfortable with plenty of storage and a very comfortable bed. Our room fronted on the street but we had no problem with noise aside from the occasional early morning garbage collection. The front desk staff was very friendly and our barman gave us a crash course on Rugby during our viewing of a World Cup Semifinal match. Cab drivers seemed to have a hard time finding our one-way street but telling them one block from Gare St. Lazare worked well. Easy walk to shops, restaurant, Montmartre. Breakfast is expensive but nicely done. Alternatives are within easy walking distance. We would definitely stay there again.
“Hôtel idéalement situé : proche boulevard Haussmann et Mogador.”
Un hôtel complètement rénové, très propre et idéalement situé pour les amoureux du shopping. Un personnel très professionnel. Suite à un problème d'eau chaude le personnel de réception a réagi rapidement en nous offrant le petit déjeuner.
“Great Paris Hotel”
This hotel is conviently located to the metro and a train station. You can walk to most major sites. There are some great restaurants right in the neighborhood. This was my second stay here and I would recommend it to anyone.
“Highly recommend!”
I would definitely recommend this hotel. For a 3 star hotel it went far beyond my expectations. The rooms are super modern and have flat screen tv's and the staff are very helpful and speak english very well. The location is great - it is down the street from Galleries Lafayette and lots of the main shops. It is also a short metro trip or about a 20 minute walk to the Champs Elysee. This hotel should be at least 4 star!
“Great Hotel”
Despite being part of a chain the hotel is very cosy, the service is excellent and the rooms are clean with free wifi and if you have paid for breakfast you can choose to have it sent up to the room. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The location is spectacular with Opera, Lafayette, Louvre, Saint-Lazare etc. all being very close by. Just take out a map and draw up some walking routes, any of them will be great from this location.
“Great hotel for the price”
The hotel is located at a premium spot near the Galleries Lafayette and the Opera house. Hotel room was tiny, but they do have a room in the lobby where you can store your luggage. There is a shower and a shower curtain in the bathroom (not always present in Parisian hotels). Staff was friendly and spoke fluent English. They allowed us to check in early without any questions asked. Also they allow very late check outs. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. Located near the metro, and the stop for the hop on hop off bus tours. Delicious breakfast buffet offered.
“Splendid Stay”
This adorable Parisian hotel is a wonderful choice for anyone coming to Paris to see the sites. Our room was quite cramped but as an active couple we did not spend that much time in it. The Mecure is located a block from the Saint Lazare Metro, which is a large hub accessing many lines. This was a major plus for us. The hotel staff were so accomodating and friendly. It was also really helpful that they all spoke English. If you are looking for value and quality this is your place. The rooms may be small but they are clean, the staff is excellent and with the Metro stop right there you have easy access to the entire city.
“nous y retournerons”
très bien situé our le shopping
