“Meridian, Paris”

This was a good hotel in a good location. The room was fairly small but clean, updated and modern and a good value. The staff were helpful when needed.

“Nothing special..”

The hotel was very dark. We got upgraded. However the room was still so small almost same size as my wardrope. There was a vierd smell when you first enter the hotel..

“Great Stay!”

The Le Meridien Etoile is a modern, bustling hotel with a wonderful front desk and concierge staff. Our room was a nice size with a very comfy bed and pillows. RER/metro station nearby, pay shuttle bus to/from the airport departs from the mall directly accross the street, resturants and nightlife in every direction. Wonderful trip!

Leave early to see the Chateau de Versailles...only 1/2 hour from Paris city center. Wonderful!

“Mixed feelings”

The hotel is in a comfortable location, near a Metro and a RER station and within walking distance from the Arch de Triumph, Bois de Boulogne and La Defense. The lobby is nice and spacious. The staff courteous. The rooms aren't big but are comfortably furnished. Now to the down side: the check in time is 15:00, but at 15:45 our room wasn't ready yet and we received an alternative room, witch was a smoking room instead of the non smoking room we've booked. In now days, I expect to get free Wi-fi in my hotels, just like in the hotel across the street, but not in Le Meridien. Overall, our stay was mostly pleasant, but I'd probably choose a different hotel next time.

“Diamond Earrings Stolen at Le Meridien - Don't Recommend it!”

“Good Choice for Paris”

Rooms were small and a bit old but clean and properly appointed. The Lobby is nice, the location is great, and staff is polite and efficient.

Area recommendations

All of Paris is worth exploring. Check Place des Vosges and the Marais which is beautiful and not a typical landmark

“Nice hotel in Paris”

We stayed at Meridien Etoile in 2007 and came back in 2010. The room was newly remodeled and very modern. We stayed in an executive suite which is not very spacious but it was comfortable. The concierge service, as many folks here noticed, is excellent. This hotel is extremely convenient if you're coming/going to CDG airport. The AirFrance buses (Le Cars AirFrance) pick you up between terminals E&F and drop you off literally in front of the hotel. The hotel is somewhat off the beaten path and tourist attractions (there's a close metro station though - Porte Maillot), which is why we actually chose it. If you like to dine with the locals there are nice restaurants within walking distance (La verre bouteille, Il etait une oie dans le sud ouest, or Michael Rostang (bistro de cote) & his 2 star restaurant). We enjoyed our stay in Paris and would recommend this hotel.

“Great location, modern hotel”

We had a tough time finding the hotel, because Google Maps had it located blocks away from where it really was. As another reviewer said, it's right off the Metro stop Porte Maillot on line 1. JUST MAKE SURE YOU EXIT AT BLVD. GOUVION ST.-CYR, or else you'll spend a half hour wandering around like we did. This is a large, modern hotel, and across the street is the Hotel Concord Lafayette. The location is fantastic; it's a great part of town, with easy walking access to the restaurants and shops along Avenue Ternes.

Area recommendations

Paris is an excellent walking city, but having a Metro pass for the length of your stay is a must. We love the Latin Quarter, Luxembourg Gardens, Place des Voges, the Tuilleries and the Musee D'Orsay. It's Paris-- you can't go wrong.
