“We liked it”
It's a very good hotel in a nice neighborhood easy to reach by metro. Be prepared though to have a smoky room even if you ordered a non-smoking one.
“Paris on a budget”
Good hotel if you are on a budget. It is definitely no frills, but the beds are comfortable and the location is decent. It takes about 25 minutes to get to central Paris from this hotel. The staff was relatively helpful, but make sure you don't let them charge you for breakfast if you choose not to eat it at the hotel. The Monoprix grocery store down the block from the hotel has crossaints and other breakfast type foods.
“Small but nice”
I really liked this place. It's centrally located, about a half mile from a metro stop that goes directly into the city. The rooms are pretty small, with just about enough space for a bed, desk, and wardrobe, but the bathrooms are quite spacious by European standards and everything is very clean. It's not a room you want to spend all day in, but why would you do that in Paris anyway? It was excellent value for the price.
“Great Find in Paris”
Hotel Jardins de Paris Alesia offers clean, comfortable rooms on Rue de Alesia near a number of brasseries, bars, and restaurants. I would definitely go back.
“Not fancy; served its purpose well”
This two-star hotel served its purpose of providing a comfortable bed, shower and toilet. The surroundings were bright and the room was clean. For someone seeking a reasonably-priced hotel as a place to shower and sleep, this hotel is fine. If you are planning to spend considerable of time inside your hotel (I don't know why one would do so during a vacation, this is probably not the hotel for you, as the rooms are very tiny. I didn't pay the extra fee per day for breakfast; get your bread and croissants at one of the many nearby boulangeries-patisseries.
“Good”
Used this place as a crash bad, it is basic, but it is clean and in a good location (between Alesia and Plaisance metro stations) in a residential area. Could have done with air con since having the windows open meant listening to the traffic and the primary school across the road.
“Nice hotel - good choice”
Everything was wonderfulwith the exception of a shortage of outlets. Would have liked at least one more. Other than that, no complaints at all; it was very nice.
“Just fine”
This hotel is very close to a post office, lots of ATMs, clothings stores, a few cafes, a grocery store, and two metro stops. It's in a much more residential part of Paris, but getting to all the tourist attractions is easy. My room was barely big enough for a double bed and a desk, but it shouldn't matter how big your room is. You're in Paris! If you need internet access, it's very expensive, so try looking else where.

“Hotel D'Alesia, Montparnasse”
The hotel itself is fine: basic but very clean and well maintained. We found it an ideal base for exploring the city. Metro stop (Alesia) was 5 minutes walk and there were nice restaurants in the neighbourhood. The neighbourhood was very pleasant - safe and clean. Downsides: there were two. 1. The staff at the front desk gave the impression that they were soley involved with the business of managing a hotel and customers were not part of the deal. Uncommunicative in the extreme. No pleasantries, no kindly words at any hour of the day or stage of your stay - one very much gets the impression that having paid for the room they believe their responsibility to you ends and you can do your own thing. 2. Breakfast: three words - don't even bother! We're in Paris, right ... home of coffee. The coffee is self-service out of a machine!! A machine!!!! There is no one serving! Not a human being in sight. Some croissants in a basket and a coffee machine - I kid you not! GBP4.20, 6 Euros, almost 8 bucks a head. You've been warned. White plastic tables, artificially lit, sterile basement with some trees painted on a wall - it's like a David Lynch movie. Go to the wonderful L'aller Retour on Avenue Des Maines, 7 minutes walk from the hotel. Nice place, nice people.
