“Good location, great service.”
We are a familly of four with children aged 10 & 13. We booked a quadruple and had plenty of room. The hotel is approx 30 min downhill walk from the Gare du Nord where we arrived on the Eurostar train from london or you can take the metro to one of two very handy stations nearby. From the hotel you can walk to the Louvre or Basillica Sacre Coeur in 15 mins or to the Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower in 30 or go by metro if you want to conserve energy. The breakfast was good (9 Euro) and the reception staff and owner were very friendly. helpful and fluent in English. The roof has a peaceful little terrace (no view) to have your own food or drinks at the end of the day. This is a good, clean, safe place to stay, the only point to consider is that it does not have an elevator for those that may have problems with stairs, staff will assist with bags though.
“Great location, friendly staff”
Excellent little hotel in safe and well located neighbourhood
“Nice room, nice location, great neighborhood”
Cute room with nice amenities right between Sacre Coeur and the Champs Elysee. The help at the front desk seemed to be constantly changing, but all were very nice, including the guy who checked us in at midnight. There was a good flat screen TV in the room, a nice batch, and the decor matched the charm of Paris. If you like shopping, you couldn't be in a better neighborhood, either. The only drawback was the sub par breakfast they have at the hotel was 8 euros per person. Only went for that twice, but wish we had just gone out for breakfast every day. Also, there is no elevator in the hotel so be prepared to get some exercise. It was definitely a good stay and seemed way better than the cheesy rooms available for the same price in Paris.
“Paris place to stay with great location”
For parisian standards, location, size and cleanliness are ok. There is no elevator so if you have luggage please note this. Also breakfast is not included as we thought it was. I highly recommend this hotel for travelers with a reduced budget.
“"Small Rooms" means SMALL Rooms...”
The good: Tremendous staff - friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, passable-to-fluent English. Jens lent me his french Apple computer charger when I asked for "un adaptateur" - no fuss. Convenient - three Metro stops w/in a couple of blocks, 2 blocks to the Boulevard Hoffman. Quiet - the area is silent at night, yet well-lit and active. I certainly didn't feel in any way unsafe. I had my window wide open and literally could hear a cricket chirping outside. The bad: No A/C, and only a single small window (though they do provide a fan). I can't imagine how hot that room would be in the dog days of summer! The tiniest of rooms - by that I mean 10'X11'. I literally had to sidestep along the edge of the bed to get into the bath. There is a small closet, a teeny desk, and a teenier table - don't count on laying out all your stuff. The ugly: Really, nothing. This is a good place for a single person traveling on the cheap. If you think "hostal", rather than hotel, you'll be fine.
“une nuit à l'hotel”
le lit double était inconfortable! et au matin des odeurs fétides d'assainissement
