“Le Littre”
Comfortable. Friendly staff.
“Very dirty and smelled horrible!”
My hotel room smelled horrible! The carpet and bedspread were filthy and I asked that the bedspread be removed from the room. I purchased air freshner just to cover the smells. The pipes were extremely noisy and I could hear everything from the bathroom above me. Would not stay at this hotel again! Not at all a four star hotel!!!!!
“Would return”
Exceeded my expectations. Big bathroom, clean, restaurants and bakeries around the corner, courteous staff. My only negatives were no wi-fi in room and hard bed.
“Will definitely return!”
We loved this hotel and would recommend it to our family and friends.
“Good not great”
Competent and friendly desk staff. Relatively large rooms for Paris. Nothing special about the decor or ambience. A functional but commercial neighborhood. In sum: a good, practical, cost effective choice but not one you're going to remember the rest of your life.
“Adequate”
Hotel le Littre was a well-situated hotel at an excellent price. It was close to public transportation and within walking distance of many major tourist sites. The bathrooms were nice and modern. The rooms were clean enough, but by no means sparkling, and housekeeping missed some obvious stuff (like a giant brooch/button on the floor in front of one of the beds and refilling the empty facial tissue dispenser for the duration of our stay). The staff was pleasant. I would definitely recommend the hotel as an affordable option if you're only going to use the rooms to bathe and sleep in. It's not a hotel to lounge about in. My one major complaint were the beds, which were old, overused, and uncomfortable. The mattresses were saggy in some parts and rock-hard in others. However, the beds were not bad enough to make me regret choosing the hotel, since it was inexpensive and we were only there two nights.
“Excellent location and staff”
Hotel le Littre was a treat on our recent stay. The staff was always helpful and cheerful. The location is excellent. It is a bit difficult to find at first.. (and for those of you going, it is on a small side street, look for the McDonald's-walk down the side street that is in front of it. We skipped the breakfast and ate at the boulangerie just around the corner. Be prepared for food to be very expensive by American standards. You won't find a better, more charming hotel or location.
“Lovely stay”
Great hotel. Off the beat and path but worth it.
“Great Location & Wonderful Deal”
I visit Paris at least once a year. This was my first stay at the Hotel Le Littre. It won't be my last. Since I always travel on a budget, I look for a hotel that will fulfill my basic needs: shelter, safety, a place to shower, change and sleep. The Hotel Le Littre provided all this with added comfort. My room was larger than a typical Paris budget hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Nice accomodating staff. A nice area with plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. The Montparnasse metro station is a short walk, providing access to all of Paris. A great deal, the Hotel Le Littre is one of Paris's hidden treasures.
“Very disappointing”
My wife and I stayed at the Hotel le Littre on the last night of our honeymoon. For a four star hotel, our room was very disappointing. The bed was two twin beds pushed together, the mattresses were very uncomfortable, the bedspread was old and cheap looking, and the blanket under the mattress looked like it had been there for years and had never been washed. To top it all off, when we stripped the bed of the comforter and blanket, the white top sheet had what appeared to be urine stains and little black hairs all over it. My wife went down to the receptionist and asked, very politely, if we could get a new pair of sheets, explaining that ours were not clean. The receptionist replied, "No, you can not get new sheets. Maybe tomorrow, but not tonight." We were completely baffled! Needless to say, we had a horrible night's sleep and were very happy to leave at 6am the next morning to catch our flight home. It was an extremely disappointing experience and unfortunate that we had to spend the last night of our honeymoon being so uncomfortable.
