“Great value”
Spent a week at this hotel in March '07. Helpful staff with great attitude. Standard room is small but comfortable and clean. Nicely decorated. Bathrooms upscale. Quiet, safe neighborhood. Close to Argentine Metro on 1 line. Convenient. Would stay there again.
“Excellent Boutique Hotel. Small but very comfortable”
Just off the Avenue de Grand Armee, which is the extension of the Champs on the other side of the Place d' Etoile. Great consierge service. Made reservations for Rest. Museums, car service to Versaille.
“Excellent”
This is an excellent 4* hotel 5mins walk from the Arc D' Triumph. Comfortable and clean it offered excellent value for money. Be sure to visit the cake Boulangerie at the end of the road for amazing cakes and pastries!
“Lovely Paris hotel”
Very nice room, extremely friendly service. The rooms are slightly small, but we would definitely go back. Lovely hotel
“Lovely Hotel in Paris”
I've stayed at a few places in Paris and hands down, this was the best. The staff spoke perfect English and was helpful in every aspect of our stay. They checked us in early, helped us with planning our days and even found us a pool to swim in. The rooms were spotless with extremely comfortable beds (we had two rooms - a deluxe and a regular). The neighborhood is quiet and pleasant even for being so close to the Champs Elysee.
“A delightful stay at Le Duret!”
This is a charming boutique hotel in a lovely quiet street and very close to the Arc de Triomphe. The rooms are very pleasant and there was no noise to be heard from the street below. It was a joy to stay here for three nights. My husband even watched the rugby with a couple of French locals in the lounge one afternoon (the day England won!) and all three chaps spent a very pleasant couple of hours - despite the result. The staff were really accommodating and ready to do anything they could to enhance our stay. I refer, especially, to Edouard who was incredibly helpful to us. We always ate breakfast at a nearby cafe (at the end of the road), and I can also recommend the lovely Thai restaurant which is next door to the hotel. We had a gorgeous lunch there one afternoon. We hadn't stayed in this part of Paris before, but having spent four days there, I would heartily recommend it.
“Perfect boutique hotel”
Hotel Duret is a perfect example of boutique hotel, small yet personalized care. Christine, in the front desk was very accomodating and helpful. We had the standard room with balcony and we love it we didn't feel cramped. It's only a block away from Arc de Triomphe and lots of nice cafe and restaurants close by. Every morning we had fresh baguette from a brassiere only 15 steps away:-) Hotel is also accessible to metro and RER train. We would definitely go back on our 10th year anniversary.
“Location and service great”
After arriving in Paris from San Francisco, we were thrilled that the Hotel had a room available early for us @ 10:30 am on Sunday morning. The hotel location is very convenient for the metro system and is located in a neighborhood full of shopping and restaurants. Nice quiet street and no street noise to worry about. Hotel staff was very helpful and we enjoyed our stay. We didn't avail ourselves of breakfast, but instead bought baguette and fruit locally.
“Small, but perfectly formed”
This was our first trip to Paris and so didn't know quite what to expect. We were delighted with the hotel, yes the standard room was smallish, but when visiting Paris you shouldn't be spending that much time in it! Apparently all Parisian hotel rooms are small anyway and upgrades were available and reasonably priced. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and there were a couple of restaurants, chemists, cafes, bank and patisserie all within spitting distance. The metro station was 5 mins walk away. The location in the 16 arrondissement was quiet, and you felt perfectly safe out and about at night. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again.
“Will DEFINITELY return!”
Will DEFINITELY return to this hotel. Our stay was perfect. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms well appointed, the room large (we upgraded, however, friends found the standard room fine), and the service impeccable. The staff graciously met every request . The free internet (in-room and lobby) was a great bonus. Breakfast was a little pricey (16 euros per person), but there was a wonderful bakery at the end of the block with delicious bread, pastries and coffee. The Argentine metro stop is less than a 5 minute walk away, and the neighborhood has quite a few good restaurants and two grocery stores.
