“Would definitely go back to this hotel”
We stayed here, about 2 or 3 blocks from Eiffel Tower. Awesome location, nver had any issues with room or hotel.
“Good hotel”
Hotel was in a great location with lots to do around it. Close to Eiffel Tower, only 5-10 minute walk. Staff were extremely helpful and spoke perfect English, which was a big help to us. Safe neighborhood. For food, don't miss the restaurant next to the hotel, Le Sancerrois. Some of the best food we had during the 5-day trip. Extremely nice people and we had both dinner and breakfast there. We were in a standard room. I expected a small room as I've read on other reviews, but these rooms were very small. The double bed barely fit into the room, no room at all for luggage. One small closet that held a few clothes and a safe (which is great). Bathroom was also very small and uncomfortable. Hotel had an elevator, which a lot of hotels don't. We were happy that this hotel had air conditioning but when we got there were told that the air for the whole hotel had been turned off since it was fall. No individual control for the room and room was hot. Had to keep windows open but room was noisy since hotel is located in an area with stores and outdoor seating.
“Very Nice Neighborhood”
This was a nice stay for the last few days of our trip. This hotel is within walking distance to the Metro, the Eiffel Tower and several cafes and shopping. The hotel was very clean and wasn't a horribly small size, but don't expect any hotel room to be large in Paris (unless you pay a substantial price for it). The room was very cozy and they have computers in the lobby to use for internet. I would definately recommend this hotel! There's also a grocery just across the street to buy snacks and drinks, very convenient.
“perfect location, would stay again and again”
Kristen and Emily were very helpful and polite. the maintenance staff was friendly. the comments i had read about thin walls and noise could not have been further from the fact. we have been in much noisier hotels in the states. the size of the room was not a problem but the shower was small but we adjusted to it quickly. The room was modern and updated and you can open the windows to take in the atmosphere on the street below. The hotel location on the Rue Cler was perfect to get all the feel for living in Paris. Shops and cafes within minutes of your door. Eiffel just a short walk away. We tried several cafes on the Rue Cler, can't go wrong. Our favorite though, was La Terrasse, on the corner of ave. Bosquet/Motte Picquet(google it)
“Doesn't get much better”
We choose this hotel based on reviews from Expedia and various other websites. We were very happy with our choice! The rooms are small but we did not feel crammed at all. There were only three negatives that I can think of. One being the shower was tiny. There's enough space in the bathroom for a larger shower so I'm not sure why they made it so small. Even being petite, I had a hard time being comfortable while showering. Another negative we had was the thin walls. In the mornings you can clearly hear other hotel guests as well as maid service. The last negative thing was, at one point the elevator broke & a few guests got stuck inside. I believe this only happened once but it kept me going down the stairs just in case! However, none of this would keep us from staying there again as well as telling others to go! The hotel staff all speaks English & is there 24/7 to assist you with whatever you need. The neighborhood (Rue Cler) is beautiful with many cafe's and shops nearby. There is also a market right across the street to get any grocery items you need. The Metro is only about a 10 minute walk & can get you anywhere you need to be. The chocolate bar connected to the hotel gave us free macaroons since we had to wait on our coffee. We stayed at Hotel Du Cadran for 7 nights and loved it! Hope to be back soon!
“Favorite Place to Stay in Paris”
We have now stayed at Hotel du Cadran three times. The staff are just terrific. They are fun, and caring. When our cab was late to take us to the airport they were genuinely concerned, made multiple calls, and stood out in the street waiting. The rooms are funky, but very clean. The breakfast is fine and served in a stone cellar which is fun. Of course, the neighborhood is fantastic, with lots of places to eat on Rue Cler, and if you want gourmet, there are all those nearby Christian Constant restaurants. We had an incredible meal at les cocottes de Constant, which is just a few minutes walk. But we also had an inexpensive lasagna that hit the spot on Rue de Grenelle, next to the laundromat that is just up the steet from the hotel. If you have the money, spend a little extra on the superior rooms and there will be plenty of room, at least by Paris standards. The standard rooms are small. But all the beds are comfortable.
“in the middle of everything”
Really pleased with this hotel a big step up from the two star last time we went to paris, clean, modren, bright and in a great neighborhood. Paid less than their posted rates but without breakfast( which was cheaper down the street). Only thing missing was space, room was small with not much storage and only a shower which was small and tight but really clean and updated. Would go again to the same place and would recommend it at the same price.
“Great Location & Great Service”
This is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful (especially Emilie). The rooms are a little small, but are nicely decorated.
“Neighborhood is the best...”
Positive: location location location. Neighborhood made the price worth it. Negative: shoddy elevator, small room, impossible shower. Nice staff, gave us a bottle of Champagne. Free wifi a plus!
“Perfect Base for Your Paris Stay”
Great neighborhood. Nice restaurants, bakeries, fruit, cheese....you name it and it is steps away from this hotel. Our room had a view of the Eiffel Tower. Very clean and yes small but that is Paris. Located near major metro stops. We would stay here again. While only steps aways from lots of nightlife the hotel is well insulated.....you won't here a thing when you turn in for the evening.
