“Nice location, helpful staff”

Room was small but tidy. AC was welcome during hot weather. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Ecole Militaire barracks across the street went nuts when France won in the World Cup quarter finals. That was fun! Great stay!

“Great Stay, Great Location, Good value”

Great location and very convenient to most attractions. As stated in other reviews, room is smallish but comfortable and clean, about the size of a cruise ship room. We walked everywhere from here, lots of cafes, and bakeries, a market a short distance away. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, the staff was courteous and helpful. Great value for the money.

“Great hotel can't wait to go back!”

My husband and I spent 6 nights at the Hotel Derby. We were very pleased with everything about our stay. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, the location was very close to a metro station, and we could see the Eiffel Tower out our window. Over all we would spend the extra money to stay here again.

“Is this the perfect Buget Paris Hotel?”

3 boys on tour. Booked a triple and arrived to find a 2 beds (single and double - very common triple configuration in Europe). Within 5 minutes we had an extra mattress and linen on the floor at no extra cost. Outstanding! This kind of service continued throughout our 4 night stay - very friendly staff who even enjoyed giving us bit of a wind-up ocasionally. I tried to speak a little french, but staff happy to engage in English . Location is brilliant - equidistant form E Tower and M D'Orsay. For the money - will go back for sure!

“Excellent hotel”

It was a great hotel . The metro was very close and convenient. Eiffel Tower was a 10-minute walk. The hotel was in a calm area with less traffic .We really liked that. The hotel staff were very good and spoke English. Room was very clean, but very small to even move around. But it was not bad for 2 people to adjust. I have heard that all Paris hotel rooms are small, so that was not a big complain. There were good breakfast places nearby. I recommend this hotel to couples and family.

“Highly recommended”

This is good, comfortable and pleasant hotel in a superb location. The ecole militaire metro is just around the corner, and a ten minute walk takes you to the Eiffel tower. There are several bistros cages close by. A quick walk provides a French version of a supermarket, very well stocked. Fruit, chemist, baker etc also close by. A ten minute walk takes you a another street crammed with restaurants, fruit shops, takeaways etc. Neighbor seems very safe. Hotel has English-speaking staff on desk. Elevator is small and slow but so are most in Paris apparently. Room smallish but not too bad, comfortable bed, air conditioning. Surprisingly quiet. All in all this is a pleasant hotel in an ideal location.

“Perfect little hotel on a budget!”

The Derby was in a great location SUPER close to the Eiffel Tower! The front desk staff was great, and they even helped us book a shuttle to the airport for an early morning flight. It'd be nice if the breakfast was included, but we'd still stay there again in a heartbeat!
