“Can't wait togo back!!”

I chose Derby Eiffel due to the location, quaint appearance, and the fact that some of the rooms have balconies. I could not have chosen a more perfect hotel. Why? I could see the Eiffel Tower fully from my 6th floor room!! The staff was VERY friendly. They offered to book tours, arrange taxis, discussed my daily travels, treated me like a friend. They even complimented my poor French--everyone in Paris was kind and no one insulted my French. My room was very small--couldn't walk around one side of the bed. I did not care at ALL. It was clean and comfortable. The A/C works GREAT!! I used purchased internet time cards (30 and 60 min) at the front desk and checked my emails. The Ecole Military metro stop is 1/2 a block away. The newsstand has internation phone cards for cheap!! There is a 24hr bistro/restaurant that is fantastic also 1/2 block away. There is a Thai restaurant one block away, a salon on the same block and of course, you're 20 minutes walk to the Eiffel Tower, Seine, boat cruises, 5 min from Napoleon's Tomb and the Rodin Museum--my fave. There's a pharmacy around the corner.

“Great Parisian Find”

It was far better than expected. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful from the moment my mother and I arrived. We were doing a "whirlwind" European tour and only had two days in the "City of Lights," fortunately the receptionist was very resourceful and was able to book us a city tour and provided excellent suggestions on what sights we had to see. Due to the excellent location of the hotel (it's a block away from the Ecole Militare Metro Station, 5 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and 10 to the Trocadero)it was easy to access some of the major sights. The hotel room was very nice and quite spacious. Would stay there again.

“Loved the Hotel Derby Eiffel!”

In the best part of town in the 7th, we love the neighborhood, and found the hotel petite but quite comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

“great price for a great location”

this is a great location within 5 minutes walking to eiffel tower. very friendly staff that spoke english. close to a great outside dinning place. take a right exiting the hotel and about two blocks there is a great dinning place with a red awning (I forget the name) . the bar prices and food prices are very reasonable (for france) . do not stop at the first dinning place(has black awnings). it is over priced especially the outside bar.

“Great location, nicely looked after and a warm welcome”

Right in the centre of Paris and a stone's throw from the Eiffel Tower. Rooms were relatively small, but very well maintained and quite comfortable. The lady on reception was lovely and very welcoming - nothing was too much trouble. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

“Great Location”

this hotel is very nice and clean.Bathroom was small as well,but still nice and clean.Room is small,but still very nice.You go to the hotel room to sleep,so.Hotel staff speak all english,and super friendly.They have a shuttle service.And Hotel is in middle of everything.Nice restaurants,bars,little stores and grocery stores.And 3 minutes from the metro and 10 min. walking from the eifeltower.

“Close to Eifell Tower”

Room smaller then average, but still comfortable. Staff helpful. Located within 10 minutes walking distance of Eiffel Tower. Would stay there again

“Great Place.”

The room and bathroom were quit small, but the location was fantastic. You could walk to all of the great sites in Paris, except of course Versailles. Great dining for all meals very close. The hotel staff was fantastic, especially Michelle at the front desk. All staff were polite always and offered to help with anything we needed. Great attitude, follow their advice. They never mislead us. This was a very nice old hotel. Old school, local place. Don't expect a flash lobby and crystal chandeliers, but it was very nice and comfortable. Safe area.

nice budget-friendly hotel; clean room; had good A/C during summer; friendly staff who all spoke great English; good, convenient location - close to metro stops (easy to get to/from CDG); close and convenient to great local eateries; in "recommended" area to stay/eat per Rick Steves; small room (and smaller bathroom), but very reasonable for price and time spent in room - would easily recommend to others
