“Extremely helpful and courteous”
I traveled to Paris with three days notice - no time to learn even the basics of the French language. Upon arriving at Hotel Cambon, the entire staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The rooms are very nice, and you can't beat the location. Highly recommended!!
“Quite nice hotel”
Clean room, nice breakfast, nice welcome and all the staff. Big adventage- location. Easy access to all Paris monuments!
“Great Small Hotel”
Everything about this hotel was great - the location (just steps from the Rue de Rivoli and the Tuilerie), the ambiance, the service, etc. - but be aware that the rooms, at least mine, are microscopic.
“Disapointing.”
The only good thig was the location. As a boutique hotel only the small size, no charming or special attention to pleases the guest. And I was there for eleven days. If you want a fancy breakfast, go to Laduree, one block ahead and cheaper! It is not included (20 euros)
“bien placé, propre, bon service, bon acceuil mais petite chambre”
tres bien, à part la petite taille de la chambre
“Not Impressed”
Tiny room, really too small to be credible. Service mediocre, excellent location though
“Nice location and digs; expensive and lousy WiFi; privacy sign ignored”
Stayed here for five nights. The room was nice and well kept. My room faced the street, so it was quite noisy during the day, usually with autos honking their horns. Keep this in mind if you usually stay up late and sleep in like I do. Unfortunately, the "high speed" WiFi service was expensive, 20 Euros for 2.5 hours. And I thought $12/day was expensive in NYC. I can live with the expense, but the quality was extremely poor. I consistently experienced about 30% packet loss. This means that downloading email would frequently hang and timeout. Loading web pages would frequently hang, and I'd have to hit reload one or more times to get the page to load. At least with dialup, transfer is slow but usually steady. What would normally be less than a minute connection to download my email would frequently take 5 or 10 minutes. Atop this was the hassle of constantly logging on and off using an HTML interface due to the per minute charges. The coup de grace for me ever staying there again was their ignoral of my "do not disturb" sign. They ignored it and entered my room to service it. When I objected at the front desk, they informed me that they must enter my room daily, regardless of my wishes. I was chastised for having valuables about my room and to use the in room safe. Well, that's one of the reason I had my "do not disturb sign" displayed. I told them the in room safe didn't work, which they did nothing to rememdy. All in all, pathetic for a four star hotel.
“Grosse déception”
Accueil indigne d'un 4 étoiles: La patronne me fait remarquer que je n'ai qu'une petite chambre. Si j'en veux une plus grande, il faut payer un supplément. Chambre miniscule effectivement. sur le plan au dos de la porte, j'ai remarqué que certaines chambres étaient plus petites encore. Vu le prix, cela n'est pas digne d'un 4 étoiles, ni même d'un 3 étoiles. Et je pèse mes mots...
