“Not Impressed”
poorly maintained. very small rooms.
“Should get a refund”
As soon as we checked into the hotel, we regretted. The hotel is undergoing major renovation on the outside, scalfolding and all. We arrived exhausted and wanted to take a nap, but there was horrible pounding noise on the wall, tried to call downstairs, the phone wouldn't, work, I went down and asked for a quieter room, but was told they are all being effected, (and the noise lasted a whole week!) The room was so tiny you can't open a suitcase, the wall around the tiny toilet room was peeling, the sink and shower area was so small it was a struggle even for one person. With two people in the room you are constantly hitting each other's face when you try to open any door. The staff was not knowlegeable or helpful, lukewarm, to sat the best. I don,t know why this hotel gets good reviews, for me, it was the worst place I ever stayed.
“I do not want too many people to know about this hotel”
Like all Three-Star hotels in Paris, it is small compared to American hotels and you have to accept smaller rooms, small bathrooms and small elevators. But, it is clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfasts are simple but more than adequate. One of the best things about this hotel is its location. Close to the Metro, the RER, cinemas and restaurants. Shopping along Boulevard St. Germain and the rest of the Latin Quarter is right around the corner. The Sorbonne, Luxembourg Gardens, Notre Dame and the heart of Paris are within easy walking distance. Bottom line, reasonable rates, comfortable rooms and prime location all make for an excellent place to stay while in Paris.
“Very impressed:-)”
Excellent staff, very helpful in giving service and advice!! Very good breakfast buffet and afternoon tea with a nice variety of food items!! Located in the middle of the Latin Quarters, we were able to walk to many of the attractions or to the Metro. Minutes away, we found wonderful little restaurants, each with their true Parisiene cuisine!! The hotel shuttle to the airport was half of the cabfare.
“Good location in Saint German”
The hotel location is extremely good. It is very close to the Bd Saint German and the Seine river. The room is clean but small what is not a surprise when we are talking about Paris. The room walls are thin and at 8:00 when the other guests start to walk in the corridor you will possibly wake up. During our stay it was worse because there was a restoration in the hotel facade. If you are a tourist that want to wake up early and go out to visit Paris this is a good hotel to you stay.
“Excellent hotel, location; definitely recommend”
Small but very charming; perfect location (close to RER stop), free wifi, free water and drinks in minibar. Could not ask for anything more. Will definitely return.
“Enjoyed our stay”
The hotel is in the Latin Quarter and is a few blocks from Notre Dame. The location is great and there are many affordable dining options nearby. The majority of the hotel guests seemed to be English speaking. The hotel room was newly renovated and comfortable and the size was European (small). We enjoyed our stay and thought it was a good value for the price. We visited in late Sept. and the weather was cool.
“A great place to stay.”
The hotel was very welcoming and convenient. Breakfast and internet access and tea are included, which made it feel very homey. Definitely would recommend.
“"Great Location...super breadfast buffet"”
Belloy St. Germain was a friendly and helpful accomodation. Our luggage was delayed by the airline but the hotel watched for it coming. It arrived after one in the morning, so the attendant kept it safe until morning, rather than waking us in the middle of the night...very thoughtful. Breakfast each morning was more than ample for both my husband and me. Our room was cared for daily and the hotel provided us with anything we needed. The Belloy is centrally located in the Latin Quarter and easy to travel from to all the sights. Thank you to all of the staff of the Belloy. We would, without doubt stay at the Belloy St. Germain again.
“Perfect Location”
This hotel is perfectly located for exploring Paris, on foot or by Metro. It's across the street from the Cluny Museum of Middle Ages (home of the Woman and the Unicorn tapestry), a block from the Metro, and 2 1/2 blocks from Notre Dame. It is in the St Germaine/Latin Quarter. After two days of exploring, we took an afternoon off and walked 3 blocks to the Jardin du Luxembourg for lunch at the outdoor restaurant in the park. It is next to the bandstand, and we were entertained by a first a band and then a choir. The desk employees could be a bit friendlier, but that was our only complaint for the hotel. The rooms and hallways are the usual Paris small. The breakfast was typical and sufficient. We would definitely stay here again.
