The hotel is near public transportation which makes it very convenient to go into the city. The hotel is beside a grocery store which can make it a little noisy at night. A great hotel if you just want a place to rest at night and do not plan to stay in the hotel room for too long.

Well located for exploring Montemarte and close to public transport for exploring Paris. Small but adequate room and good continental breakfast. Tiny lift for luggage to upper floors - circular stairs a bit confronting.

I was specifically looking for a hotel in the Montmatre area near fabric shops and this one is surrounded! Its cozy, good sized rooms (from a European standard), I thought breakfast was included but apparently my reservation did not include it. Many great restaurants in the area and a relatively short walk to Opera house/Galleria Lafayette and around the corner from Sacre Couer. Overall well located, clean and safe area, lots of amenities near by.

The rooms were pretty small and the heater was not working first but I got an electric heater from the receptionist so that made it much better because it was really cold. Love the fact that it's close to so many eating spots and the metro and right next to a supermarket as well and walking distance or sacre Coeur. There was a weird smell coming from the bathroom on arrival though and it's been a few days and I did not yet received back my €50 deposit

We got a two stars hotel but paid for four stars. The room is very small and dirty. Smell is bad! There are no AC and bath tub. We are very very disappointed! The price on the web for that day is $143 per night, but we paid almost $300.

Here is the Management response :We disagree with the criticism:1)We are a full fledge 3* hotel, as reviewed and certified by the city of Paris. Further, the hotel in perfect condition with a beautiful decoration and we offer an excellent Ratio of Quality to Price. I regret that the client did not check, before making his booking, that we were a 3* hotel and not a 4*.Our hotel was recently renovated, including the furniture like beds and mattresses as well as the curtains, and all the rooms, new carpets and the rooms and the bathrooms were entirely repainted, as well as the bathroom and electrical fixtures. Further, the furniture, including the wardrobe, has been hand made by a top French “artisan” with specialty wood; the wall paper is from Osborne & Little, a first-class British manufacturer; the fabrics for the curtains are from Designer’s Guild, another prime British manufacturer, and the carpet is from the most famous French carpet manufacturer Ege. The colours are exquisite (blue/white or Bordeaux/Gold tones).Furthermore, we have beautiful decorating frames on the walls of all rooms and on each floor and beautiful lighting of our building facade.In addition, there is FREE coffee and tea every day and the with a boiler in the room.2)The room is not small at all. In fact, the guest got a room with 15 square meters, which is rather a big size for a city like Paris, London or New York. As a general rule, most hotel rooms in Paris are not large, apart from 5* hotels and palaces. Therefore, all rooms vary in size from 14 square meters to 20 square meters, which is perfectly within the standards of a large historic city like Paris. It's a pity that the guest didn't ask the Manager (myself) and I could have changed the guest’s room immediately.3) In fact, the guest got all of these hotel qualities for an average price of 200/day, which is very competitive especially during the high season in Paris.. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. So, if one is looking for a much higher quality decoration and service, one has to go to a 4 * hotel, where he/she will pay 400 to 600/day. Conclusion : 1) In summary, we offer a sparkling clean, functional and freshly renovated hotel with a very beautiful decoration, with an excellent service and in a great location in Buttes Montmartre.2) We provide an excellent service for an extremely reasonable price. In fact, we firmly believe that we offer the best value for money. In other words, we really offer an excellent Ratio of Quality to Price.

I read reviews in advance of my arrival and was a little anxious. I had no reason to be. The receptionist was efficient. The room was huge and everything was clean. The hotel was quieter than the holiday inn. I slept well. There were two fans. The plugs were far too low, the towels small . You could make yourself coffee. Having to hand in keys every time you leave the hotel is old school but didn’t bother me. As long as I had a big room again I would definitely stay here again.

I had a very nice experience staying at the hotel. The staffs were very polite, courteous and most of all helpful. My thanks goes out to Jane and Malik at the reception, we’ll done and keep up the great work. Breakfast was very ordinary and every morning the same spread, could be better. I was staying facing the road and most of the nights on my 6 nights stay, there will be a bunch of drunks on the street, drinking and playing music and shouting and even one night there was a fight among them. Overall I will come and stay again and will recommend to my friends too. Merci

The room was clean and comfortable. I requested 2 single beds but was given a room with one double bed. I brought my hotels.com printout confirmation to the desk and asked if I can have a room with two single beds. I was told that the hotel does not receive this information from hotels.com. I asked if there is another room that is available with two beds. I was given a new set of keys for another room, which also had a single bed. My cousin and I decided to just sleep in the same bed. The doorknob came off in our hands when we tried to leave the room. It clearly was broken before we arrived. We pushed it back in but one piece was still swinging and we were very careful using the door going forward. My guess is I would have been charged for replacing it even though I didn't break the knob since the receptionist checked on our room before refunding my deposit, but didn't notice the issue. Overall the place is clean and a convenient location but they are not incredibly helpful with inquiries and seem eager to use the deposit to cover usual wear and tear on the room.

This is the answer from the management: 1)Thank you for the guest’s compliments about our superb location at the bottom of Buttes Montmartre, with its art galleries, its painters and its museums and restaurants, and its great and easy Metro connections. Thank you also for your compliments on our cleanliness. 2)For your information, when we receive a reservation from Expedia/Hotels.com, the reservation states only Double, ie, for 2 persons, , but it does not specify if it is a Twin or Double room. Thus, when the guest arrived, we did not know that the guest had booked a Twin room. We will inquire about why the receptionist could not get a Twin room for the guest as we have 15 Twin rooms in our hotel : however, I can only guess that on that particular day, we did not have any Twin available. 3)Regarding the security deposit, every hotel in the world requests upon guest arrival the credit card of the guest to guarantee payment for the Extra’s: Breakfast, Telephone usage and eventual Damages. So, the receptionist was doing only her job. 4)Honestly, we are very surprised about your negative comment on our receptionists and we really strongly disagree with you. Our receptionists are very kind, professional and very helpful and they usually go out of their way to make our guests happy 5)In any case, I wish that the guest would have called the Manager (I) immediately and I would have made sure to do everything possible to assist the guest in an efficient and pleasant manner

This is a VERY run down old hotel. It is very basic and for sure needs some remodelling/updates. The carpet is very old and felt dirty. In spots they had cut out stains and replaced it with new patches of carpet. We didn't hear a lot of noises or street noise so it is pretty quiet. The shower sliding door was off it's track but the bathroom was clean. It is on the border of Montmartre very close to Sacre Coeur but getting into the less desirable neighbourhood. It is very close to the metro. I have traveled Europe extensively. This was my 7th trip to Paris. I never pay over $100/night and this is by far the most run down hotel I have stayed in. The breakfast include option listed here is not free it adds a breakfast fee hidden in the taxes at the end and it is insanely expensive. For us to choose the breakfast included option it added over $150 in fees for 3 nights. The staff is friendly enough, my only complaint is in the morning the cleaning staff leaves huge bags of laundry blocking the halls and it is difficult to get by. one morning they even blocked the doorway to the hall with heavy laundry bags and we couldn't exit. Definatly a fire hazard. The hotel states on the back of the room door that no food or drink is to enter the rooms so that is tricky if you want to bring your own snacks or breakfast. If you don't care about the condition and it's just a place to sleep it will be fine. I wouldn't book this hotel again though.

1) The guest omits conveniently to say that upon arrival, he refused to give his guarantee deposit for extras (breakfast, telephone, etc.), while it is clearly indicated on our site at the time of booking that a guarantee is requested and is of course refunded at the departure. The guest threatened to make a bad comment. We refused to give in to this kind of pressure. Of course, this negative comment was predictable. 2) Therefore, we reject all of these comments, with some bordering on the silly: i) Our hotel is immaculately cleaned every day with a maintenance man who updates all the paintings, carpets, etc.There is absolutely no fire hasard : we respect all professional guidelines and we have 2 inspections a year by outside companies. ii)) In addition, our hotel was renovated in June 2017 : the furniture, carpet, wallpaper and fabrics comes from Ege, Osborne & Little and Designer's Guild, top notch French and British manufacturer. We have perfectly functional “state of the art” equipment, including the Bathroom fixtures, WIFI, etc. Finally, there is a courtesy tray in each room with a kettle, and FREE coffee and tea. iii)We serve Continental Breakfast which includes orange juice, apple juice, tea, coffee, chocolate, hot milk, freshly delivered hot croissants, pain au chocolate, pain au raisins and baguettes, corn flakes, butter, jam, cheese, boiled eggs, meat cuts, fresh and dry fruits, etc all of these at will. The price is only 12€/person/day which is nothing: in a street café, a simple cup of coffee and a croissant cost a minimum 7€! iv) Finally, we are in a superb location at the bottom of Buttes Montmartre, with its art galleries, museums and cafes, restaurants, and its easy Metro connections Also, we have a wonderful courteous and helpful staff. We strongly believe that we offer the best quality / price ratio

This hotel is a good value for what you pay. It is not fancy or new. It is also very small the bathroom is also very small. However it is clean, and only one street over from the monastery so the location is excellent. There is no AC so don’t stay in the hot summer months. Otherwise it’s a great location and a good value for what you get.

This area is not like Left Bank, a bit rougher. Hotel is in a great location though, 1/2 block off main street and easy walking to explore Montmarte. Good value. Mattress made us roll to middle, so not so comfortable. Adequate size bath and room.

Amazingly great location! Kind of annoying having to turn your key in every time you leave, but it grows on you after awhile. We had a street view which was great, but the noise of crowds hanging out till late hours made it difficult to get a good nights rest. The bedding was fantastic and comfortable, but the room smelled misty and old. Don't fall stepping out of bathtub like I did making it difficult to walk the next few days and asking for ice was a challenge. The distance from tub to floor is long and there is no bar to hold on too for safety. It got a little chilly at night and the wall heater was the bed headboard so that wasn't going to work. The older man at counter gave me a dirty and very smelly blanket (so gross). Next day I was given a small space heater after complaint. Breakfast is not worth it. Not fresh fruit

This is the answer from the management: 1)Thank you the guest’s compliments about our superb location at the bottom of Buttes Montmartre and the bedding. 2)However, we do not agree with the other points i)Cleanliness and heating: Our rooms are impeccably cleaned every day and our hotel is kept in a sparkling clean and in good condition by a supervisor and 4 cleaning persons, something we pride ourselves on. Obviously, there is a wall heater in every room and it works very well. As a courtesy, we can supply a mobile heater, which is what the guest got upon demand. Finally, there are additional clean blankest in the drawer. iii) Noise: In fact, the hotel is completely up to the demanding acoustic standards of the city of Paris. We have concrete floors and double glazed windows. Plus, our street is extremely quiet at night when the shops close and there is no bar or restaurant in the immediate area. Therefore, there is absolutely no noise in the hotel. vi) Breakfast: We serve Continental Breakfast as advertised, which includes orange juice, apple juice, tea, coffee, chocolate, hot milk, fresh and hot croissants, pain au chocolate, pain au raisins and baguettes, corn flakes, butter, jam, cheese, boiled eggs, meat cuts, fresh and dry fruits, etc all of these at will. Further, we get fresh bread deliveries from one of the best hotel providers in Paris (Maison Leriche) every day. Also, breakfast is served everyday by a professional waitress who gives a very good service. Finally, we are opened for breakfast from 7:30AM to 10AM every day. CONCLUSION: 1) I wish that the guest would have called the Manager (I) immediately and I would have made sure to change him to a more quiet room on the courtyard side. 2)Our prices are very competitive and even relatively cheap for the quality of service. We really offer the best ratio of quality to price.

Malik and Mario provided an outstanding and professional customer service!! We complained with Mario about the several items that were broken in the our, and he immediately took action and transferred us to a different room. Then, we were happy!! Thanks Mario!! When we were checking out, I was not feeling well (low blood sugar issue and was 4:00 am which means all stores were closed) and Malik immediately brought me orange juice and some croissants! Thanks Malik!!!!

Finally, our receptionists are always courteous, friendly, ready to help and are pretty quick. 2)Other qualities: i)Unique Location: Indeed, our hotel is in a great location at the bottom of Buttes Montmartre, with its art galleries, its painters and its museums and restaurants, and its great and easy Metro connections. Wonderful experience at Hotel Bellevue, Montmartre. We stayed for 6 nights and would stay again without hesitation. A great value for money. The location is incomparable - 2 mins walk to the foothills of the Basilica Sacre Coeur and in the heart of Montmartre district with cafes and restaurants all around. 3 mins walk to the Anvers Metro station and 5 mins to Abbesses. We were particularly touched by the elderly receptionist who was kind enough to connect us with Doctor when we had an emergency need - and it worked out very well. Overall - a great stay and would love to come back again.

We never stayed at the Bellevue...we got there to check in and they said they were oversold. They sent us to another 3 star property (not even close). It was a bit further than what we wanted, but the area was fine. The room was small, dirty and the hair dryer fell off the wall. NOT worth the price we paid to stay at the Bellevue. Needless to say, we are quite disappointed...

We really disagree. First, we were oversold due to a computer glitch late in the day and it can happen to any hotel in the world, and we had no choice but to relocate this client to another hotel. In fact, as we were in high season with a lot of business fairs in Paris, we were happy and lucky to find such a well located 3* hotel on a last minute basis (which costs us more than what we received from the client) . We even went out of our way to apologize for the inconvenience and we paid for the taxi of course. This same other hotel was a full fledge 3* hotel in very good condition and we know that because we have worked with them before and we have checked theproperty. I understand that people are less than happy when a hotel is overbooked and has to relocate them, but it is not fair to take it on the other hotel condition.

Small, quiet and conveniently located hotel. Clean room but small. Plaisant staff. No AC but cool nights made up for it with opened windows.
