“A very comfortable and quiet hotel in a residential area within walking distance to the Eiffel”
This hotel was the only one that we saw in our area and was in a quiet, residential area within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower on the opposite side of the Seine. Staff was helpful, food was tasty, and delivered in a timely manner to our room. The room size was certainly a plus, as it was spacious and very clean with ammenities and we were very comfortable there. There is a shuttle available for transport to CDG and Orly, which is far superior to taking the metro, which we found confusing and very unpleasant, especially comparing their trains to the excellent ground transport system of London.
“WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN”
AC WAS NOT WORKING. WHEN ASKED TO BE CHECKED I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS NOT THE SEASON FOR THE AC TO BE ON. ROOM NEEDED REPAIRS WALLS HAD STAINS AND MARKS. UPON ARRIVAL THEY DID NOT HAVE A KEY TO OUR ROOM. NO SCREEN ON THE WINDOW SO IT COULD NOT BE KEPT OPEN DURING THE NIGHT.
“Great Location”
The hotel is located right in front of a grocery store which is great if you want to get bottle water for less than a Euro. Otherwise you will pay about 3-4 Euros for a small bottle. It is also located very close to the Metro, Train, and Bus stations. Around the block you can rent bicycles in you choose. Some stores and bistros but they close early (hence the grocery store). Very nice neighborhood! Room and bathroom is large for European standards and very well kept. The bathroom was very very clean and the tub was a plus! Shower head and water pressure is great. The bed was NOT comfortable at all. That was the only problem that we had. Some of the wall paper was peeling but that didn't discourage me from recommending this for my friends. Breakfast was fantastic! However, be aware that it is 16Euros per person per day. This was not mentioned to us until we were cking out. Room service is also VERY pricey. We went to the grocery store and stashed it in our mini bar under the flat screen TV. Overall, hotel room is very simple, basic, well cleaned and kept. Staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. Matress is not good but the great shower compensated for that.
“Very pleased”
Very pleased. While small (this is Paris after all), the room was clean, staff very courteous, and in a wonderful location. The free WiFi was only free in the small lobby and only had marginal signal. But that is not why I was in Paris and I recommend this hotel. I will certainly return to Paris and this hotel.
“Nice, comfortable stay in Paris”
The lounge was stocked, internet was available for free, the room was clean and comfortable, it was well located and the price was right.
“Affordable Paris hotel”
L'Hotel Auteuil Tour Effel is a quiet, affordable hotel located in the 16th section of Paris. I found the staff at the front desk to be very friendly and helpful. Though the hotel is a little ways away from downtown Paris, there is a Metro station nearby. You can get to the 5th or 6th in just 7-8 minutes on the Metro. The Tour Effel is only a 20-minute walk from the hotel. I would recommend shopping for food at the Marche Franprix, which is a half block from the front doors of the hotel, because it is far cheaper and has more selection than anything else in the area. I would also recommend a bookstore and a bakery that are located three blocks from the hotel and which are across the street from each other.
“Can not wait to go back”
The Hotel was really excellent. It is near to the Eiffel Tower and other Landmarks. About the rates are good because of the zone where the Hotel is. Additionally, the rooms were tidy and clean. All staff were kind and helpful. I think, This Hotel is good option to travel to Paris.
“STAY AWAY, LIKE WAY AWAY!!!!”
This was by far the worst hotel that I have ever stayed at. This was our first night in Paris for our honeymoon. The bed sheets were not changed. My pillow was so filthy and smelled. I phoned the staff to ask if they could replace at least the sheets and pillow cases and they found multiple excuses to avoid doing their jobs. This was truly a disgusting place to stay. We left as soon as the sun came up. We booked here because we weren’t looking for a 5star, we were simply looking for a decent place to rest for the night before enjoying Paris. Having an unclean (Terribly filthy in this case) bed, sheets & pillow cases is no excuse for not being a 5star. Do yourself a favor and stay away.
“Did what it said on the tin.”
We took this room because of the price. We sidestepped the overpriced breakfasts and outrageous internet access price (€9 for 15 minutes on their computer), so really the place was fine for our needs - quite, clean, etc. I wouldn't go out of my way to stay here again, though, because, the metro is nearby, that stop is only a one way system coming toward city center, so it's necessary to ride three extra stops, switch trains, and return to the stop you saw flash by your window 15 minutes ago - not a good experience if you're wiped out from a long day see the sites. Perhaps a small complaint in the scheme things. Certainly didn't spoil our trip.
“not 800m from the Eiffel tower”
The hotel was clean no issues there but breakfast is not included BEWARE they do not mark the prices on the little panphlet: it's 16 euros for 2 small crossants and coffee / person. so basically for 2 it's 32 euros = 50 Candian a complete rip off especially since the little store at the corner sells them for one euro The mgmt was not very helpful either Oh and it is NOT 800m from the Eiffel tower ...a good 30 min walk one thing to keep in mind if this is your first trip to Paris: do not rent a car there is really good public transportation and DO NOT change your money at the airport
