“Great location!!”

This hotel is in a perfect location, close to the "must sees" of Paris. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The accomodations are tight, but cozy. Nice bathrooms! We'll be back!

“Perfect location”

A darling, smaller hotel in a great location. The hotel staff was very accommodating. The dining room and bar areas are smaller, but very quaint. We had breakfast a couple of mornings and it was excellent with great service. The elevator is small, and some of the rooms are still up some stairs after coming off the elevator. Rooms on the street can be a bit noisy, but the rooms facing inside are great! Definitely would recommend this hotel to friends and go back myself.

“Can't fault it”

This really is a lovely hotel, on the bustling and vibrant left bank, with loads of bars, cafes, pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance. The room was very clean and nicely decorated (with a lovely canopied bed) which face it is all you want in a hotel room when staying in a place like Paris as you'll spend most of your day outdoors. All of the staff, as well as speaking impeccible English, were helpful and friendly, apart from one of the breakfast waitresses (who was only on duty on one day out of the week we were there) who was a bit hopeless, but hey you're on holiday so why get stressed about such a little thing. We didn't, and it was all sorted out anyway. If we ever go back to Paris, we'll definitely be staying here again.

“Just like staying in someone's home...”

I stayed for 3 nights at the DSG and I really enjoyed it. My room was on the top floor so it was very quiet, despite the very busy neighbourhood it's in. The decor is reminiscent of an English country home- chintzy, comfy, candles about and even some personal photos ( the owners, perhaps?). The elevator was out of service when I arrived but was fixed the next day. The room was lovely and the bathroom was small but clean and effiecient. I would certainly stay there again.

“Plan to Return This Fall”

The location of this hotel was very convenient. I took the train from the airport to within a couple blocks of the hotel. I walked to all the top tourist sights - Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, Tuileries gardens, Luxumbourg gardens, Champs-Elysees, Place de la Concord, Tour Eiffel, Invalides, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, Marais district, and Pompidou Center. (Walking is the best way to see central Paris, and I love to walk). I did take the metro or train to Montmartre, Versailles, and to a small art gallery further out from the city center, but the metro / train system was very convenient to the hotel. The neighborhood was great with all its shops and cafes. I felt very safe in this area. As a woman travelling alone, this was important. My room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. For Paris, I think the room was a good size. I do wish that an in-room safe had been provided, although the hotel was secure and staffed 24/7. Everything was kept very clean. The staff at the hotel could not have been friendlier or more helpful. They let me practice my French and helped me with learning more vocabulary. They provided directions and information whenever I needed it. The breakfast was outstanding. I highly recommend spending the extra each day to enjoy it in a beautiful, cozy breakfast area. It's a great way to meet others and plan your day. I'm already planning a return visit in September.

“Charming renovated hotel in great location with friendly staff”

We visisted this hotel middle of September 2008. It is a very charming hotel which has been renovated recently and is very clean and quiet if you have a courtyard room with amenities. The rooms are country inn like, each decorated in colours. The rooms with a double bed are quite small and might be cramped for two people but for one person they were fine. I believe they have larger rooms for couples which is recommended. The hotel is located 10 minute walk across the river from the Louvre and within walking distance to left bank sites as well as right bank sites. There is an incredible italian restaurante 5 doors away and many many unique clothing stores and restaurants. Restaurantes at night were filled with a fairly young crowd, university age with restaurants for the am with older crowd, funny that. Highly recommended, good value.

“great location and friendly staff”

This was our 2nd stay within 6 months , we love the location and the friendly staff - this hotel offers great value acomodation for those who accept the fact that parisian rooms are notoriously small! having said that unless you are of a large stature the rooms are more then adequate. The best endorsement I can give is to say we will be going back again .

“Definitely would return!”

The location of the hotel is perfect--down the road from St. Michel metro stop, and on Rue Dauphine which is the left bank of Pont Neuf crossing the Seine so crossing to the right bank is convenient! The room was not small, the bathroom very clean and service excellent. Easy to log on the free wi-fi.
