“Great value! Highly recommended for a family with young kids on a budget”
This hotel is great for your budget but didn't feel like a budget hotel. The rooms are admittedly dated (late 80s/early 90s decor) but the furniture was either new or recently re-covered and everything was clean. The rooms are big enough to give everyone some living space. The kitchen wasn't fancy but was clean and functional (big bonus was the dishwasher and full-size fridge). The pool is well set up to accommodate different groups with a secluded hot tub for adults, a separate pool for little kids and two waterslides (one for little ones and one for older kids/adults). The room service options are limited, but the food at the pool bar was cheap and quite good, with a decent kids menu. Basically, everything you need for a holiday with small kids at a convenient location and at a decent price. I don't know why it only gets 2 stars on the expedia rating! Put another way, we stayed at the Hilton in Phoenix after this stay and - bang for your buck - way preferred this hotel in terms of amenities, location, service and overall value.
“Very Satisfied”
Everything was awesome. Room was huge. Full kitchen and two bathrooms, wow! We had one bedroom villa on main floor overlooking pool. Very peaceful and comfortable. Maid service was attentive and maintenance of property was top-notch. No "funny smell" and nothing outdated as per some reviews. This is typical southern decor people, pastels, etc.. It's not an urban Four Seasons. I don't know what some people expect who write their reviews. The pool area was huge and comfortable. Only drawbacks were there is no real restaurant - only poolside cabana - and hotel is definitely a ways from downtown, too far to walk. I would definitely go back, however, it was very good value.
“Great deal-great place”
This place is a resort. I stayed in a Junior Villa and it was outstanding. Everthing about it was great. I was attending a conference in Palm Springs and upon speaking to the other attendees I learned that I was paying about 1/3 of what everybody else was paying for their accomodations.
“Can't wait to go back.....”
This hotel was awesome. It has a great pool with slides and even provides the towels for the pool area. My family will definately go back. Plus they give a great discount to Knotts soak city too.
“Comfortable for the family”
We stayed at this event for a school competition. The one bedroom villa was very large and easily accommodated our family of four. We did not use the kitchen for much, but it would have been perfect for meals. The pool area is great, and has very watchful lifeguards for part of the day. Note that the water slide closes at 4:00, so plan accordingly. (or at least it does in March)
“Definitely going to stay there again”
Great amenities, friendly staff, good location away from hustle and bustle and no traffic noise. Next time we'll be using the amenitites more and the city less
“Great Getaway from LA or San Diego”
Check in was fantastic. Pool area is the best! Jacuzzis are hot, slides are quick and fun. Lots of lounge chairs, friendly service and tasty food and drinks. Only a two hour drive from San Diego. We will be back.
“Very Nice”
very nice resort - loved the pool area and the location of resort
“Will definitely return.”
Highly recommend
“Will return for sure”
The whole place was very well maintained and our room was very clean. There was a small problem with our room's shower water temperature. The problem was looked after immediately by well trained staff. All staff was very pleasant and helpful.
