"We loved that this hotel was steps away from the water! The breakfast was adequate and the staff was very responsive to our needs. The room we had was nicely remodeled and it had a relaxing, beach vibe. My only complaint is the bathroom. When they remodeled, they neglected this space a bit. Upon arrival, our sink was clogged, but the problem was remediated quickly. Finally, the bathroom floor had clearly not been mopped."
"We had a wonderful time here! There are so many different options for swimming—the lazy river, pool, wading pool, indoor pool and hot tub, plus it’s right on the ocean! The room was large and able to fit our family of 5 comfortably. We loved the snack shop and especially loved that they provided paper plates and bowls and utensils for when we got takeout. The breakfast was good and we especially loved that it went until ten. Our one complaint was the doors were a little hard to open, but that...
"Our stay was nice, aside from the water pressure in the shower was horrible. Everyone was nice and it’s convenient to most all areas in the outer banks. "

"We had an amazing week at Shutters on the Banks, and would absolutely recommend it to anyone! Everything was wonderful. The pool, while cold, was never too busy. The beach was clean. The staff was friendly, and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean, and inviting. 10/10 recommend! We'll definitely be back!"

"We had a great time exploring the area-Wrights Brothers Memorial, NC Aquarium, Dolphin Cruise, area restaurants and shopping. The hotel is so conveniently located to many things. We will be back!

"We stayed in one of the cottages and it was full of vintage charm! The room was very clean and I loved the separate kitchen area - which was spacious. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The room had everything we needed and we were very happy with it. The TV did not come in clear (maybe a poor connection), and the battery died in the remote. But we were not there to watch TV so it didn't matter. The location is outstanding - across the street from a cool pier and next to a great restaurant. Parking is easy too. It's an older property but is well kept, considering its age. I would love to come back and stay longer. "
