Sprawling across 24 acres in suburban Kissimmee, the Maingate Lakeside Resort is two miles from the entrance of Walt Disney World® Resort and within 17 miles of SeaWorld and Universal Studios–-all accessible via complimentary scheduled shuttle service.
Kid-friendly amenities include two large wading pools, a clubhouse, a game room, two sand playgrounds, and a miniature golf course.
Dining options include a casual sports bar, a buffet breakfast restaurant, a general store and deli, a Pizza Hut Express, and two seasonal poolside bars.

Rooms at the Maingate Lakeside Resort have pool or lake views and are located in 15 two-story buildings with exterior corridors and no elevators. Decorated with light-wood furnishings and brightly colored fabrics, rooms have vanities outside of bathrooms, desks, and two-chair dining sets. Amenities include compact refrigerators, in-room safes, and TVs with cable service, including Disney, ESPN, and Showtime.
Complimentary high-speed Internet access is available in select buildings. All rooms also offer complimentary wireless Internet access.

Hurricane Sam's Bar & Grill - Sports bar with pool table, jukebox, and big-screen TV. Appetizers, steaks, burgers, and light fare served. Beverages include 40 types of international beer. Open from early evening to late evening.
The Greenhouse - American breakfast buffet with cooked-to-order egg dishes, waffle bar, and fresh fruit. Complimentary for children 12 and younger (one per paying adult). Breakfast served daily.
General Store & Deli - Sandwiches, pastries, desserts, ice cream, and gourmet coffees. Open from early morning to late evening.
Pizza Hut Express - Pizza service in restaurant, by the pool, or in-room. Open from early morning to late evening.
Poolside bars - Located at the hotel's two largest pools. Light fare and tropical drinks. Open seasonally from late morning to early evening.
Recreation

“I would rate 4 out of 5”
I had really enjoyed the room. Before I stayed the maingate lakeside resort I read the reviewed of other customers experience. Few were good and bad. But I took a chance to save money since my trip was for 3 days and for business trip. But when I got the room I was surprised but one more thing I need to add here that I wasn't suppose to get the pool side view but they gave it to me just by asking me and it wasn't charged. It was a pleasant surprise. I was received cordially at the reception.Men and women both were very nice. I would say at the end that i had enjoyed my stay. But also every one need to keep in mind time to time cleanliness change and things change. But hope luck will favor you all. Over all its a nice environment.
“Great value for the money.”
I was pleasantly surprised how nice this inexpensive hotel was. The staff were very nice and helpful. We had an issue with our safe and called to the front desk for help and someone was sent up within five minutes. We asked for more towels and received them within minutes of asking. The pool area was nice and in the evenings a movie was shown for the young ones on a "make shift" big screen movie screen. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would deffinately stay there again. Old Town and Disney were minutes away. The only thing I could say negatively is we were charged $7.50 a day per room for, I can't say what. So it was an extra $30.00 added to the total cost.
“Great experience”
This truly is a great value for money - spacious, clean rooms, quiet, close to restaurants and local attractions. My only issue with it was that the wi-fi signal was weak in the room. I still managed to do what I needed to do but could imagine someone getting upset over it. I would definitely stay there again.

We attended a function at Wide World of Sports. Just 5 minutes away very easy to travel to and from this venue. Lots of restaurants near hotel.

Best Western Lakeside has great accomodations, convenient location ans shuttle services, helpful staff and much more! I definetely recommend.

The maid for our room was very courteous and thorough in cleaning our room. The ice machine was fairly close to our room and I liked the smally size of the chubes. We enjoyed the Fitness Center and used it each day of our stay.

My family & I checked in to the hotel and to our pleasure it was very clean & well taken care of. (For the low price we paid I was very surprised) The hotel is very "kid friendly" with a pool, playground, mini golf, game room etc (all at not extra charge). The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel was quiet. Would definietly go back.
