"Excellent hotel and food in very rural hamlet on mountain road. Food is preordered for the evening if having meal . Beware hotel is on a mountain road with very very narrow width just width of car with blind corners and drops. Make sure come up from Lochinver not the other end or else you wish you hadnt if meet the motor caravans with no where to pull over. You be lucky to get out of 2nd gear. Dont attempt to drive this road if not a confident driver or novice. Be warned !! Barriers appear to be optional. On plus note highly recommend hotel and food. A short few minutes walk will bring you to a spectacular view point. "

"What an unusual experience to stay in such a remote place. Our greatest pleasures were sitting on the outside bench watching life go by and all the remote walks we took. Plus…. the amazing piano! "Pier Cottage provides the perfect base from which to explore Kinlochbervie and NW Scotland. The cottage was spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed for a week’s stay. We really enjoyed our time there."

"Parking was cash only but luckily had that on us but finding the parking was difficult due to construction. Then the small hike to the hostel from the temporary parking was a bit much with bags and over a fence. Service was nice, beds were not very comfortable "
