Everything was fine with the hotel. Nice room. Satisfying breakfast included in room rate. However, on Christmas, housekeeping had the day off. Nice for them, but I paid full rate, and didn't get full service.

“A good base tostay and explore the area”

A basic but comfortable hotel. Good location and we had the pool and spa to ourselves during our stay as it was very quiet. No kitchen so Breakfast was all polysyrene cups and plates but plenty of food and it was included in the price. Very friendly and helpful staff

“pleasantly surprised”

This is a Travelodge, and in my experience they are usually not that great. But this one is quite nice. Modern, nice looking inside and out, well kept up, pleasant. Certainly up there with better examples of chains like Super 8, Days Inn, etc, and better than even most of those. Friendly person at check in knew all about places on Vancouver Island that I planned to visit and offered usful insider advice.

“Friendly, helpful staff, clean and quite.”

We stayed two days whilst visiting family in Parksville. From check-in to check-out the staff were very warm and helpful. The room was clean and quiet, everything was as it should be. Breakfast was included and was varied enough for me, up from the "continental" but not including waffles . . . There isn't a restaurant on site.
