“fun stay in monterey”
every thing was great, you would think that if you are a repeat customer you would offer a free breakfast or something for the price that is charged. only problem was room service . the meals were not very hot.
“Fun place to visit”
The staff at the hotel were friendly and quick to accomodate requests.
“Great location!”
Great location, easy access to downtown, and area attractions. Friendly helpful staff. Comfortable hotel room, and comfortable lobby area.
“Timeof my life.”
Had the best stay of my life. Clean Rooms, Great Service, Awesome Beds and pillows. Biggest TV's I've ever seen in a Hotel Room. Definately recommend the stay here.
“Monterey Portola Hotel & Spa”
The staff was very friendly at check-in. Quick to ask if we needed directions to any place and offerred a map of Monterey. Also inquired if there were any needs that they could help with. Chocolate chip cookies at check-in which is a hit with the wife because she gets both. Room was very clean. Only issue was the comforter blanket on the bed was too warm for my wife to sleep comforably. The staff provided a lighter weight blanket. Problem solved.
“Great experience!”
Everything was well kept, pleasantly surprised. The only things I wish were a little different: the bathroom needed updating and there was no air conditioning so we slept with the slider door open. But overall we loved the hotel!
“Great place”
Great Hotel and good location. Will definitely stay here again. -S
“Easter Get-A-Way a hit!”
Hotel was elegant, staff was sweet and helpful (and smiling), everything you'd expect for what you pay for. I was dissapointed that they ran out of Acquarium passes. They told me to go to the Marriot across the street to get them if I wanted 2-day passes. Dissapointed in that. Aside from that little issue, we were happy haven chosen this hotel for our Easter get-a-way.
“Best of the Best”
One of the best hotel I've stayed in... Location was great food was excellent..
“Springtime in Monterey”
Our family had a very comfortable stay. The staff stands ready to help you. When they had run out of Aquarium tickets, the front desk called over to the next hotel asking them to sell tickets to us. There are many lovely places to sit in the lobby. We appreciated being able to walk to many historical sites, coffee shops, and restaurants. The Tuesday night street Farmers' Market was a real treat. For the price of the rooms, we felt that wi-fi should have been included.
