“design & relaxing hideout in South Beach”

The best place to enjoy the South Beach weather and rejuvanate in style and also avoiding the "spring break" noise. Closer than it seems to Lincoln str. alows to enjoy the local restaurants & bars as well. The Spa amenities in the Hotel could keep you there all the time, but don't forget to try a swim at the ocean also.

“Sérénité et Style: on a adoré (mais ca ne plaira pas à tout le monde!)”

A quelques encablures (à pied) du coeur de South Beach, mais au calme, situé sur un des petites iles de la Byscayne Bay (et non sur l'Ocean donc), avec une belle vue sur la baie. Simplicité rafraichissante du lieu qui évoque avec beaucoup de style les années 50 et le style scandinave. Malgré le prix, ne vous attendez pas au luxe et à tous les services qui vont avec, mais l'endroit a beaucoup de style d'atouts: une très belle piscine, un petit jardin tropical ou se prélasser, un restaurant d'extérieur sur le ponton au bord de la baie, un spa très stylé. Les chambres sont plutôt petites mais simples et fonctionnelles, dans un style scandinave. Clientèle variée, plutôt jeune et très gay friendly avec pas mal de français. Les enfants de moins de 14 ans ne sont pas admis (ouf!). Bref cela ne s'adresse pas à tout le monde: familles, amateurs de luxe et de design tapageurs, accrocs du service et du room service, indifférents à l'architecture et a style.... et voyageurs à la bourse un peu plate: passez votre chemin, ce n'est pas pour vous! Point noir: le valet parking (indispensable) est très lent. Les chambres de base dont petites mais ont l'avantage de donner sur une coursive donnant la plupart du temps sur la pisicine et la baie. Je ne suis pas certain que les chambres supérieures en tout cas celles du rez de chaussée donnant sur le jardin valent le supplément de prix.

I absolutely LOVED the Standard Hotel: unlike it's name it is an atypical piece of heaven including and ecclectic and unique mix of good design elements, a most relaxing and dreamy pool and hammam, conceptual events, and fresh rooms. In a nutshell, if you are about class, art, wellness, heat, spas, + whimsical and educated fun: the standard is for you:)

We've travelled all over Europe, Asia, and North and Central America in 5 star accomodations, and we can safely say that our stay at The Standard Miami was the most enjoyable experience!

The only bad thing about this hotel is that it is out of the way from a phramcy or a 7/11.

I loved the hotel, but I wish I would not have pais for the wet room, bescause 3/4 of my stay I was unable to us the bathtub.

Stayed at the Standard a few times and always had a great experience. Was gutted to leave and will be back soon!!

air condition in lobby not working at time of stay. note that hotel carts are extremely noisy from rooms. maid service could improve with bath cleaning. friendly staff!

Really great stay - so much thought has gone into the design and environment of the hotel... However note that 18-20% service charge is automatically added to all bills and service can be average.....
