“Eurotel Pedro Gil stance...”
The place is close to almost everything you need. The Robinson dept store is right across the street. Night clubs and casino just around the corner. Very handy for commuters which is not far from LRT and the airport. The room was comfortable and clean with courteous and helpful staffs.
“It has its good days and bad days”
As always, the internet went down a few times during my 3 day stay. The air conditioning in my room was pre-set at 50F (about 14C) and it was either on or off, with no way to set the temperature. Construction was taking place 15 hours a day with loud hammering in a steel and concrete hotel... making every room a sounding board. The staff was very helpful, as always... but again the hallways were not ventilated at all (vents turned off) and there was always a heavy smell of paint and adhesives. The free breakfast managed to stay down most of the time. It was edible. All in all, for some reason, I keep coming back, mostly for the convenient location, despite all the drawbacks... which never end.
“Fun area to be in.”
The staff was very polite and helpful, there was not 1 request provided. The reservation had been received and they had no problem with giving me a free upgrade to accommodate me.
“You get what you pay for”
You get what you pay for. The location is ideal for visiting Americans. It's a bit noisy in the evening because of traffic noise, and possible Vidioke... and that can last all night. For the money, it can't be beat. It's a place to sleep and shower. The AM breakfast is really good and plentiful... worth everything. Internet was actually reliable, and quick enough for most needs. It's NOT the Ritz, or the Waldorf Astoria... so if you're looking for a luxury hotel, keep moving. Be careful of scamming, theiving, lying, cheating cab drivers... many will try every trick in the book to extract you from absurd amounts of money... not limited to cab drivers, by any means... just a warning for you first-timers.
“OK place for the money... almost”
Here is a nice small hotel, but it does have a few problems. The ventilation in the hallways is always turned off... probably to save on electricity. During renovations, the hallways reeked of solvents and adhesives along with the oppressive humidity... it was not pleasant. I complained bitterly to no avail.. The internet was down frequently... a recurring problem. This time it was because someone disconnected it by pulling out a connector. . I don't think they care. They also lost my laundry for a day. I did not care for the breakfast. It is geared to locals with the daily fish I find inedible. Hot dogs for breakfast... what a concept. The location is ideal, and the price is right. The room is OK. I guess this is as good as it gets here considering the country as a whole. It is a reflection of the local culture... do as little as possible to get away with it. Take the money and smile.
“great location but rooms not as good”
room has no windows, so how does fresh air get in? I would pay a few dollars more and try city garden hotel or lotus garden, both in the same district. Neighbourhood is not suitable for families but with good nightlife. Families should try Makati. Location is very good, it is right across from the Robinsons Mall. Wifi slooooowww.....but free if you can use.
