"World class service"
Wonderful experience. Filipino hospitality at its best. Warm smiles from the staffs and they are also shy in receiving tips like they don't deserve it but mind you, they deserve every cents and more. I live in Las Vegas so I know what a world class service is and this is definitely a world class! The bed is so comfy I did not want to get out of bed! Kids enjoyed having an aquarium in the room. Too bad we were not able to experience their buffet breakfast but my sister who stayed for 3 nights said the food was good with plenty to chose from. Will definitely stay here again!

"Luxury accommodations in elegant & historic hotel"
The Manila Hotel offers a 5-star oasis in an otherwise run-down and depressing part of town. Immediately inside, the hotel offers a glimpse of the elegance and grandeur that the Ermita neighborhood likely once exuded. Now it seems to be the last classy holdout. The staff is wonderful - gracious and helpful to a tee. Despite a large conference starting up mandating an almost completely-booked hotel AND a full flight crew also checking in en masse, the front desk still made every effort to attend to my small reservation quickly and efficiently. The facilities are grand and beautiful in areas they should be, maintaining a historic and elegant appeal in the main hall, ballrooms, tea room and bar, and a modern luxurious tone in the other areas (i.e., the pool, the fitness and spa facilities). Really a wonderful stay, from start to finish.

"Makati Hotel with convenient location"
Close to restaurants and shopping. In front of Greenbelt mall which consists of 5 different buildings surrounding a center square full of places to eat and drink. Past Greenbelt mall is the Landmark, another local store (like Macy's or ShoeMart) which is attached to Glorietta mall. Area feels like a mini-manhattan minus the Broadway shows. Would have to leave area if tired of same restaurants/stores to pursue other tourist places. Decent gym and outdoor pool. Spa was ok. Overall, had a great time there.

"Better than the Competition"
Spent a couple of days in Manila as part of a trip to Asia. I'd booked with another hotel nearby that was so terrible I walked away from my last two prepaid nights (of three) and moved to the Manila Pavilion. I booked a room on the executive floor and it was worth the extra money. The floor was quiet, well air conditioned, clean and modern in every way - it was everything the hotel I left wasn't. Do yourself a favor and don't cheap out on your Manila hotel. This place was nice.
