"Communication and location both great, as were the Sails facilities. Our only concern was the size and layout of some aspects of the two bedroom villa / eg the powder room. Very small. And not being able to use the spa jets in the bathroom, but that’s likely a short term issue. Very good location and a nice pool. "

"This guest house is like a hostel in many ways but with the creative use of one lot not a huge property as I thought it would be. We had booked a tent experience which is a screen tent, holding a bed, night tables, lamp and fan, below a roof and side walls. Our unit had a whole side section about 6ft without a barrier so we could see to the next tent, wooden slats around the tent are not together which lets air flow in but gives little privacy. "Great location. Spacious unit and well appointed. BUT on a very warm and humid weekend, the air-conditioner was broken and offered no relief. We were given a pedestal fan (no ceiling fans in the unit) which offered only mild relief. Management suggested many other properties did not use a/c (though lots of a/c were heard) and to open up the windows and doors which were all unscreened. Central, clean, comfy with great buffet breakfast

"Very friendly staff, large comfortable room (king executive room), central location, we used taxi from airport ($30) as we arrived too late for shuttle bus. Hotel decor looks well kept, not old, but colours are drab & lacking warmth & giving it an old fashioned feel, everything in the corridors & the room was brown. A bit of colour would brighten up a stay. It’s saving grace was the large windows. We had a small balcony on 18th floor it was very windy up there. Rooftop pool was great with fantastic views. Enjoyed a delicious buffet breakfast with plenty of options. We were particularly grateful to see so many gluten free options at breakfast. Hot drinks weren’t great- hot chocolate very weak & watery & tea also weak ( perhaps water from dispenser wasn’t hot enough to brew a decent cup). Enjoyed our stay and will return if in Townsville again "
