“Excellent hotel, great location”
A very pleasant stay in a great hotel. I usually stay in the Santa Monica/Westwood area, but Long Beach proofed to be an excellent location to explore the city. Great dining at nearby (across the bridge) harbourfront.
“Great place, close to everything!!!”
I like the location of the hotel a lot. It is a walking distance to Queen Mary( 10 min), Russian submarine Scorpion. This hotel seems like a recently built one, everything is looking new and some thingseven look likes untouched yet. A good choice of food for breakfast. The room design is great too. The kitchen is great including all small details like detergent for cleaning and sponge for washing dishes, even a dishwasher machine included. Nice set of plates and glasses. The only minus that my husband said is that it will be nice if a kitchen area and living area will have at least a little separation -sliding door for example to have privacy in those cases when you are travelling with the children and want them to go to sleep while meanwhile you can enjoy watching TV , talk...Pool is great too with a nice view at the harbor.Overall I love the hotel a lot and will enjoy to stay there next time.
“Long Beach”
The only thing that I would suggest is to add more parking.
“Will Return”
I had to go to LA for business and found the this hotel was closer to my appointments than staying in LA. The hotel was just terrific and the morning sunrise and evening sun sets were spectacular. I was also within walking distance of Long Beach resturante areas and the ship Queen Mary. The staff was very helpfull and friendly. The room was more than expected in living space. When I return to California on business, I will book this hotel again.
“More Pros than Cons!!!”
Pros: complimentary breakfast with waffle maker, kitchenette in room, comfort of lobby area, courtesy staff Cons: parking is not free, bed was not very comfortable
“Affordable, clean, great hotel!”
Stayed here for one evening for a business trip. My room was in great condition--very clean and well maintained. Staff were helpful and friendly. I really liked the breakfast buffet since it was convenient and included with the price of the room. The only downside is that the hotel is a little difficult to find.
“CLEAN ROOMS AND AN AWESOME PLACE TO STAY!!!”
Simply put this is a great place to stay. The hotel is constantly being cleaned and the staff here is more than helpful. Sherie at the front desk did an exceptional job helping us get around town. She was very helpful with rides and attractions. The hotel and rooms were amazing. Everything you need for an extended stay is here at the Residence Inn by Marriot. I couldn't find anything wrong with this place at all. The pool is a bit small but I didn't even bother jumping in cause we were surrounded by beaches. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good place to stay. This place is about 28 minutes away from the LAX airport. The ride to the hotel set me back about $65 each way. That was the only down side to the trip. Cad rides are no joke if you are trying to get into the heart of LA Downtown.
“Very satisfied wit our stay”
We requested early check-in and the desk staff was very accommodating and courteous. The room was clean and quiet with a very comfortable and pleasant looking array of furnishings. The pool is rather small but very nice and well maintained (my wife and son used it twice while I read on the spacious deck). The kitchenette in our room was spotless and well equipped, and one night we prepared our own dinner to save a few bucks and spend an evening at home after many days of touring. The large, flat panel television had a beautiful picture and we were fortunate to catch an entertaining family film. In the morning, the free breakfast banquet included eggs and waffles for my son, as well as oatmeal and fresh fruit for my wife and me. Even the laundry facilities on the second floor, which I used, were immaculate and affordable. We will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family traveling to Long Beach.
“Nice New Hotel”
It was fine in most ways. But parking is extra. Breakfast was good, but very crowded an hour before it was to end, so be prepared to wait. It's not too near anything, but you can walk to the Maya Hotel and the Queen Mary and catch a shuttle to the aquarium.
