"Always a great place to stay. The alarm on our safe in room kept going off during the night. We spoke to the front desk in the morning and they were going to look after it."

"Very clean carpeted room with very comfy beds and very good TV service. Lots of land to walk around the property. Good shower, bar fridge and microwave. Coffee maker in the room was basic and lots of ice was available. No breakfast but for the price in the vineyards of Western NY we would definitely stay here again. "

Overall my kids couldnt have had a better time being at the property and loved sitting on the inlet watching the ducks, beavers and geese every evening! Cold weather prevented full enjoyment of the outside deck, but enclosed porch and well-thought out interior still made this an excellent choice without being weather-dependent. Perfect spot to rest and recharge - I look forward to returning!"

"I appreciated friendly staff , outside is in need of cleaning and parking lot has lots of pot holes, people were hanging around smoking out by the cars. I am not super paranoid so I hoped that no one would vandalize, luckily they didn't. Loud talking in the mornings in hall ways. No breakfast, boo. My room was very clean and my bed comfortable. "

"I've stayed at many VRBOs over the years but Blue Oar has really set the bar high for me from now on. Firstly, the location setting was perfect. A quiet street with gorgeous lake views that can be enjoyed from the large front porch with comfy seating to include a relaxing porch swing. There is plenty of parking. And lots of outside space as well, not only there at the house, but at the private beach area that has a cool firepit and a dock with seating. When we were there it was too early in the season to enjoy the lake but during the summer I imagine it would be amazing with the many water activities you could enjoy. I want to complement the owners for how well appointed their rental is. We enjoyed cooking several of our meals in the kitchen and it was as well appointed as any of our own homes. Everything you could need is provided. The bathrooms were equally well appointed and the house is so charming. We loved the living area, with the comfortable couches and seating and a couple of us needed to check into work and made good use of the little office/library room just off the front entryway area. They had also provided many board games and we used the dining table area in the evenings to enjoy playing games. There were little extras here and there throughout the house that we discovered during our stay. Rarely do you find a rental property where you feel "at home" but Blue Oar felt like a home away from home for me, and the rest of our friend group as well. Thank you!"
