We had an excellent stay at Mitsui Garden Hotel Kawaramachi.The room was clean and comfortable, the hotel was in a great location, the breakfast was delicious, but above all the staff were excellent. They gave us great tips on where to eat. such as the puffy pancake restaurant and an excellent sushi restaurant. But the really amazing thing is they helped my sister-in-law recover her phone, which she had left at a train station near Tokyo. It was amazing the effort they went to. I can't imagine this happening in another country. Japan is truly a beautiful place, the landscape, the pristine mountain villages and super clean cities, the trains, the food, the culture. But the helpfulness and kindness of the people is what is really impressive. Shoutout to Kana Kimoto especially for helping us out.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay, the staff are really kind and helpful. We arrived 3 hours early and was offered an early check in at a discounted rate but we chose to store our bags and head out for lunch and explore instead. We came back at check in time and they already placed our bags in the room for us! Housekeeping also does an amazing job at keeping the rooms clean and comfortable. The location is pretty good I must say as you have so much convenience nearby to eat, shop, or take the bus or subway. Onsen was great too and might I add the Chromecast in the rooms is very appreciated as i could watch my shows on their big TVs. 10/10 would come back and stay again.

The rooms were very comfortable and had everything you could want. Quiet, nice bed, extremely helpful staff, easy access to everything you might want to see in Kyoto. The hotel is on a side street off a main shopping street, so it's very quiet, but close to the action. Very nice breakfast in the restaurant on the second floor. My sister-in-law lost her phone in a Tokyo train station and the staff at the hotel even went above and beyond trying to help get it returned.
