"The room for 3 people is too small..."
Local is near the JR station. Staff are nice and willing to help. It was very strange as there is no free drinking water or water heater provided but ice machine with a beverage machine at some floor. There room for 3 people is too small, especially the bathroom, and we even cannot open 2 luggage at the time.

"Great relaxing stay!"
If you get the spa pass included in the price it is definitely worth going. Even after we had checked out our pass didn't expire until the end of the day so we got to take a shower their before heading to the airport. The room was huge and the view of the bridge and bay amazing. Service was also great they bring your luggage to your room, and will pick it up to store it after check out. The light controls are on the phone it took us a while to figure it out. Stay here it is worth it, you can grab a reasonably priced breakfast at Starbucks which is only a few minutes walk from the hotel.

"Spacious and clean!"
We stayed in a 1 bedroom with a double bed and couch that converted to a single bed. The best part of the "apartment" was the washing machine. It also had a full fridge and gas stove, although there were no dishes/cutlety or cooking pans/pots. About a 15 minute walk to Kyoto station and 10 minutes to the beautiful Toji temple and Aeon mall. When you arrive, there may not be staff there. They should email you a code that you can use to open the "locker" with your name on it. Inside is you key. Also, easy check out- just put your key in the box.

"Wonderful view hotel overlooking Lake Biwa"
Beautiful location, and excellent facilities with sweeping view of Lake Biwa. Restaurants in the hotel had 'package' all-inclusive dinner options or buffets, which was contrary to our habits. The breakfast buffet was very complete and a good choice.

"Good location"
The location is very good, only take 2-5 minutes from Kyoto station. Room is very clean and quite wide for Japan situation, but we feel that the air condition is not going well, seems like we didn't use the aircon but actually already "on"

"very nice large rooms with jet bath "
A bit far from the city centre but has very nice large room with jet bath and a massage chair. Much more comfy that the standart poky hotel rooms. Adults only though.

    Kyoto Hotel Guide

Kyoto often feels like something from a movie set. This ancient city is the center of old Japan, and its traditional atmosphere permeates everything you see: majestic temples, gorgeous gardens, and so many lovely shrines. If you’re looking for hotels in Kyoto to sweep you away to an idyllic landscape, you won’t be disappointed.

Of course, it’s also a thoroughly cosmopolitan city, and its central core is just as future-focused as anything you’d find in Tokyo or Osaka. This combination of ultra-modern architecture and seriously traditional sights puts booking a getaway to Kyoto at the top of nearly every traveler’s bucket list. Ready to see it all for yourself? Expedia.ca has everything you need to know about the best places to stay and Things to do in Kyoto.

Hotels in Kyoto Japan: Destinations and Things to Do

Before you book your Kyoto hotel reservation, of course, you’ll need to decide which district suits your style. This city may not be as vast as Tokyo or Yokohama, but it’s packed with neighborhoods that bring the culture to life. The modern sights of Central are ideal for city lovers, North is filled with centuries-old temples, and Higashiyama is home to the famous Philosopher’s Path.

One of the best places to search for Kyoto hotels, however, is in the slightly off-the-beaten-track Arashiyama district. The Kokedera UNESCO World Heritage Site is located here, and you’ll find endless spots for dining and shopping. If you’re traveling for business, on the other hand, you may want to look at the more centrally located Kyoto station hotels. You’ll find an array of discount deals in this area, and the nearby transportation options make it easy to explore every part of the city.
