"We very much enjoyed our stay at Kona Coast. The facility was clean, spacious, and had a lot of features (such as the restaurant, bar, and pools). It was easy to check in and out and the staff were all very nice. The main problem we had was that we tried to use some of the amenities very close to their closing times. We saw nothing posted regarding the hours, so we went to both the bar too late to get the drinks we wanted, and to the quiet pool, where we ended up being chased out by security....

"We absolutely loved our stay at Mauna Lani! We came to Hawaii to celebrate baby moon and the hotel made sure I was comfortable by providing a pregnancy pillow & gifted a cute gift box for baby and I. "The property is pretty and convenient to a beach. The room and the property itself was clean. The share shelves were a nice touch. The facility is very primitive, meaning there is NO A/C, no staff onsite and no housekeeping. None of these things are bad if it's what you're expecting; however, this listing on Expedia does not mention any of these things, so it was a great disappointment to arrive and find out about the lack of AC and housekeeping. "Beautiful place to stay but communication with the staff is difficult because office hours is 10 to 6 only. Don’t even put a number where you can contact after hours. I arrived at the property after 6 and l was struggled to find out how to check into my unit not knowing that they emailed me an instruction how to get into my unit"
