“Island stay”
One of the nicest places I have stayed in a long time. Everything and everyone was exceptional.
“Nice location, highly recommend”
Nice locatiion, comfortable bed, clean. Good customer service, very good breakfast.
“want to go back!!!”
This was by far the best hotel we have ever stayed at.. Wonderful hotel, the staff was excellent, breakfast more than we expected. Close to harbor, shopping and Fort Clinch. We will chose this hotel everytime we visit Amelia Island.
“Perfect Location for Weekend Getaway”
Having never been to Amelia Island before and knowing nothing of the area other than people telling me it was beautiful, I chose it as a long weekend destination to celebrate my 40th birthday. I've stayed at Hampton Inns before and never had any problems, so it seemed the ideal choice. And, the hotel looked centrally located to everything. Well, I was very happy with my decision. The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful. The hot breakfast in the mornings were perfect for getting me and my fellow travellers fueled for the day to explore this wonderful city. Restaurants and shops galore were within walking distance and being situated on the waterfront was idyllic. The only time we drove was to get to the beach and Fort Clinch State Park. It was a hot weekend, so it was nice to come back to the cool room and relax in the evenings. The pool was a little too warm for my taste, but still relaxing for a quick swim. The morning we left, our car wouldn't start and a staff member was very helpful in getting us jumped and on our way. All in all, I loved the area and would definitely come back and stay at this Hampton Inn again.
“Really worth it”
WE did it for an event. Try looking at a longer stay. We wanted 3 nights at the location but got four for $150.00 less than 3 GO figure. Maybe Expedia had a deal but getting the fourth night free and still paying less for for the other three! GO FIGURE
“North Florida's hidden gem”
The hotel has only 1 minor draw back .. located next to a railway line (luckilly not used much). That aside, all the normal standards of Hampton as a hotel chain are met or exceeded : clean comfortable rooms and friendly helpful staff. And the reception being from and older set-up simply adds to the experience. If travelling during warmer weather and able to take advantage of the pool, it also has a benefit not mentioned on the web page being above street level making it more private. The bonus of the location is an excellent selection of restaurants starting 40 feet from the hotel entrance (an excellent Italian called Gennarros with a French Restaurant Le Clos the same istance in the opposite direction) . Walk 2 minutes and you are in the small historic district for bars an shopping or at the pick up point for river cruises and coach rides;. Would recommend whole heartedly
“Convenient location, Nice hotel”
Staff very helpful. Stayed 3 nights on business, enjoyed proximity to charming business district and dining. You can walk anywhere. Most COMFORTABLE bed, with the nicest linens ever! Appreciated the free internet access. Room very clean and quiet. Heard the train, but it was "distant" and did not bother me at all. Breakfast convenient,, but not "tasty". Expect microwaved eggs, very little seasoning, very cold room! Your warm food will cool off before you make it to a table. If you want flavor, go to a restaurant. If you want fast and convenient, wear a sweater, and eat in. I plan to stay there again.
“Location, location, locattion!”
I was only there for 1 night for an out patient surgery early the next morning at Baptist Nassau. My immediate family was there as well. It was a very convenient location, the staff was extremely friendly. It was a short walk to waterfront dining and of course, downtown Fernandina is extremely picturesque and quaint. The hotel is undergoing some renovation, but we were not at all inconvenienced
“Excellent hotel smack in the middle of quanit, historic location.”
We had only an overnight stay in Fernandina Beach (the central town of Amelia Island), but the hotel and location were fabulous. Great price for a huge suite (more like a two-bedroom apartment) that easily and comfortably accomodated me, my wife, and our three teen children. Right in the middle of the quanit historic village of Fernandina Beach with room view of marina. Highly recommended
“We would definitely recommend it to family and friends!”
We were at this hotel for our one year anniversary and we had an amazing stay. We stayed in the Princess Suite and it was beautiful :)
