“Amazing week”
The reception desk was full of information and extremely friendly. They called taxis for us, made reservations for restaurants and provided all kind of additional information that we needed. The restaurant and cafe at the hotel provided excellent service. The variety of foods was acceptable. Not much of any variety but enough selections to please everyone. The surroundings were impecably clean and the lawn manicured and perfectly kept. There were not any areas of concern for us. Plenty of places to have fun and be with people but alone in the same way.

“Nice resort!!”
Very nice resort. Staff all very friendly! Did not get connecting rooms like had registered for when checking in but Lisa took care of it the next day, as we were staying all week. We were moved to connecting and upgraded to pool view at no extra charge! Thank you Lisa :o) Rooms were quiet except heard plumbing throughout night from neighboring rooms. Beds very comfortable! Buffet breakfast kinda pricey but good food and convenient. Best part of our stay was the warm chocolate chip cookies and milk that we ordered room service late one night! They were excellent! Nice resort, nice beach, great time!

We had a very nice time. The staff was helpful. The hotel is convenient to the beach and had leisure activties on site.

I enjoyed my stay at the crown plaza. The hotel was clean, the staff was exceptional. In particular the night manager david hussey was great. thank you for making our stay more enjoyable.
“best trip ever”
We took our grandkids on a short vaction, they had such a good time that they did not want to go home. The staff was very curtious, and the room was very clean and comfortable. The beach was great and the pool area reminded you of a tropital island. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.
“Everything you need and then some”
Beach onsight with convenient beach bathrooms and outdoor showers right there. Ample pool towels, that cover you entirely, provided daily. Plenty of lounge chairs around the outdoor pool. When it rains, the indoor pool and spa allow for continued swimming fun. Renting bikes is a MUST! The resort offers bike rentals. Breakfast brunch is exquisite and, although the wait was a bit long when we ordered at 8:00 PM, room service food is scrumptious.
“can't wait to go back”
stayed at this hotel in June 2009. Location is terrific, right on the beach. The resort and gardens are very clean and are beautifully kept with all the comforts and amenities one could ask for. You can get around by bicycle, but a car would be more comfortable in the hot weather. This is a luxury place, so you pay for what you get. There is a daily resort fee on top of the room price which includes absolutely no extras. Food at the restaurants is good. Staff is friendly and very accommodating. The hair dryer in the room was not working properly which I reported at the front desk. By the time I got up to the room, housekeeping was waiting by the door to replace it - great service!
“Great place for a wedding”
Hotel was beautiful inside & out. Staff very helpful & pleasant in making my nephew's wedding a wonderful & unforgetable event. Although the food at the reception was fantastic, the food at the hotel's restaurant was over-priced & of poor quality. We would love to stay there again but will be eating out from now on.
“Crown Plaza in Shipyard Plantation - Awesome!”
I am picky about service and cleanliness... Helpful and quick check in. Nicely decorated rooms updated too. Fabulous bed and bedding, very comfortable, calm and quiet surroundings. Very clean bathroom, fluffy towels and morning paper. Balcony shabby and dirty, but it rained anyway. Overlooked woods. Beautiful lobby & lounge & gift shop. Bath-warm indoor pool, sparkling clean, BIG towels provided. Brella's cafe for breakfast, pricey but worth it! Fresh fruit, Bfast buffet, Seafood buffet (dinner), attentive, professional and pleasant service, nice atmosphere, un-chaotic. Self parking was far, go valet when you can. This hotel is in the Shipyard Plantation which is the smallest HHI Plantation, gated and very woodsy, home of the Van Der Meer Tennis Resort. Lovely to walk around. Too cold to enjoy outdoor amenities.
