"It was a perfect no-frills stay in a fantastic location in downtown Chicago. The room was big. There aren’t typical amenities like an ice bucket or even plastic cups for the bathroom, but they did provide two regular bottles of water, so I guess that sufficed. I was able to get a cutlery set from the restaurant when I needed it for my room, so that was good. Check in person, Beverly, was very nice and was so wonderful at giving me an orientation to Chicago. Bed was comfortable. I was here on business, so it met my needs well: they had a good sized deck for working, which I appreciated."

"Close to numerous train and bus options and lots of attractions and dining as well. This was my first stay at a hostel and it was an overall highly positive experience. I opted for a women's en suite, which was 6 beds and a private bathroom. The bathroom had separate doors for the shower and toilet, making the facilities accessible. The en suite was the best of both worlds - sharing a space and meeting new people, but not as large as one of the bigger sleeping areas. The communal areas for dining, leisure, and activities were spacious. Hostel guests were a wide range of ages and backgrounds. I met lots of interesting people but also had enough space to have time to myself when I needed it. Had I known about all of the activities available at the hostel, I would have better planned my trip around some of them. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast and coffee was very basic but a helpful way to start the day. I met the most people at breakfast. I loved that the facilities had water bottle refill stations, hand sanitizer stations, and both recycling and waste receptacles everywhere. There were also a variety of vending machines in multiple locations. I had an interesting and unique experience and would definitely stay there again. "
