"Upon entering the room we were impressed by the blue led lighting strips. It gave us the sense that we were going into a room of the future. However, they have enough other lights that we were able to read without any effort. (I don't really like hotels that are mood-lit and never able to make bright enough to read anywhere). The bath tub was wonderful. It is so great to sit and soak after a great trek."

"This is the nicest property in Nagarkot. Everything was clean and comfortable and the service was great except for one incident that occurred at check in. It was pouring rain when we arrived and the staff did not come out to help us with our bags. The entrance to the property is several flights up and the staircase was a rushing torrent of water. We were told to wait on the car until the rain stopped. After 5 minutes I ran in and talked to the front desk who seemed indifferent but said they...

"I thought the staff was great, but this area and location is a bit rough, so you may face some cold nights and lack some creature comforts. I stayed 4 nights, which may have been two too many as there really wasn’t a whole lot to do at night. Still the day hiking was nice and the hotel restaurant was nice. "

"We chose the penthouse, because I felt like a penthouse would be good. It wasn’t. We flew late at night from the US only to learn that the penthouse was on the 5th floor and they didn’t have an elevator. This made it impossible to stop by quickly at the hotel to get a hat or quickly change a shirt. We didn’t stay. We left the same night and went and stayed at their sister property with an elevator. "The Acme Guest House has been my hotel of choice since I first came to Kathmandu in 2015. So much so that I started bringing groups in 2016 who all agree that it is the perfect place to stay on a budget. The staff is consistently helpful, kind and welcoming. "

"I have just stayed here for three nights with my colleagues to attend a conference. The rooms are clean and basic but that friendliness of the staff and their willingness to assist you in any way they can was fantastic. When we ate in their restaurant the food was delicious and excellent value for money. This is a lovely hotel."
