"It was very great stay! We appreciated Louis for helping us get another room when we felt not too comfortable in the first room (had more flies and some lights that didn’t work). Amenities and facilities were basic but overall still great stay because of all the staff that were very accommodating and just had great energy! "

"The seller listed it in higuey, which ended up being in Punta Cana an hour and a half away. The house condo cannot be found not by maps or Google driving directions it is situated in the woods away from civilization we’re all the action is. This is not an ideal vacation home to take your family to in fact it’s scary you will feel like you are staying in the projects. We stayed one night out of four nights of which we paid for. The seller has an agent who doesn’t care about the sellers...

"My sister and her husband and their almost 2 year old daughter joined me and my husband and our 18 year old daughter for a relaxing week at Villa Nueva Romana. The house was spacious, well appointed, clean and met our needs very well. There were a couple of small issues (broken toilet seat, broken pool net), which were addressed immediately upon bringing them to the owner's attention. we would stay there again."

"It was our third visit to Excellence El Carmen (End of May 2024). We love this brand and, specifically, this hotel. Pluses are the cleanness of rooms and property, friendly staff (especially Isaak at the front desk and Markos at the piano bar), excellent food with plenty of options, the beach being clean of seaweed (not like in Mexico), a lot of entertainment and activity options, and a very relaxing spa. Minuses: No more juice bar, which we always enjoyed, no drink servers at the buildings (which is inconvenient if you have a swim-up unit), and the bath towels are not replaced every day "due to sustainability efforts." But overall, Excellence El Carmen is at the top of our list. We are going back in September. "
