    Connecticut Hotel Guide

New England-bound travellers often skip Connecticut in favour of dynamic New York City or pastoral Providence, but the state offers a wealth of can’t-miss experiences beyond its gritty Interstate-95 corridor. From New Haven’s cultural confluence to Hartford’s surprisingly chic shopping scene, Connecticut is packed with towns that successfully merge their early-American roots with a hip, modern sensibility. Plus, the autumnal landscapes here are among the area’s most celebrated.

What’s more, the best hotels in Connecticut offer a stately sort of charm, and you’ll find a variety of discount rates and expertly adorned rooms in both city and country locations. Searching for the perfect seaside retreat? Book a cheap Connecticut hotel deal in Mystic. Want to stay at a quaint inn? Take a special trip to one of the top properties in Danbury. Idyllic landscapes, historic sights, a number of iconic colleges: When you stay at Connecticut hotels, the best of New England is right outside your door.

    When to Go

Connecticut is the definition of a year-round destination. Though the climate is extremely temperate, you’ll discover new things to love with each passing season. If you’re planning a classic New England getaway, visit between early September and late October. Not only will you enjoy slightly cooler temperatures, but you’ll also get a chance to sneak a peek at the fall foliage. Trust us: During this time of year, the entire state looks like a picture from Yale’s college catalogue.

Summer is a fantastic time to visit amusement parks, like Lake Compounce, and the beaches at Stamford’s Cove Island Park and East Lyme’s Rocky Neck State Park, but don’t discount the chilly winter months. You’ll uncover more than a few Connecticut hotel deals and can spend some time hitting the slopes near the Berkshire Mountains. Plus, the popular tourist spots in Hartford, Norwalk, and New London will likely be less crowded.

    Where to Stay

Connecticut is a relatively small state, so it’s easy to explore several places in one extended trip. Start your journey in Hartford for a look at its local shops and multitude of theaters, and then drive south to New Haven for its cool cafes, avant-garde art galleries, and vibrant nightlife.

If coastal cities are your cup of tea, browse the Connecticut hotel packages in Mystic, Bridgeport, and Norwalk. Each city offers its own unique flair. Mystic has a small-town vibe, for instance, and Norwalk tends to be the most trendy of the three, but you’ll find a similar selection of affordable prices on charming waterfront inns. Search for cheap hotel deals in Connecticut, make your reservations, and get ready to discover this New England gem.

"Nice hotel close to the Xfinity Theatre "
My experience at this Hilton was wonderful. They provide free parking that is underground and easy to access from the street. The room was very comfortable and clean. My friend and I were staying there to attend a country concert at the Xfinity Theatre down the road and this hotel was very close and it was easy to get to the concert from the hotel.

    "Uneventful and good."
This hotel is currently being remodeled. Many rooms are closed. Staff was upfront about the onging chaos and apologetic about any convenience. Their concern won me over. I'd stay there again.

"Gambling in a Place Prettier than Las Vegas"
Check-in was a real hassle. It seemed like there were only trainees doing the check-ins. I must have been there for 15 minutes. Also, The sound level in the lobby is dreadful and it was almost like needing to be a lip-reader to ask and answer questions; the insecurity of the young man checking me in didn't help either. Services: I work out and swim. I was told that the weight room was a standard part of the stay as was the lap pool. When I got there, it turned out that the lap pool was actually a part of the Spa which was a service you paid for. I elected to use the outside "free" pool in the early morning when the families weren't crowding me out. They need to get their stories straight.

    "Very nice.."
I have not been here to stay since it was the Park Plaza, and the hotel was nice, room was clean..the only issue was the street noise from the local club on Temple street. We were on the fifth floor so it may have been better if we were up higher..but overall it was great. Staff was more than helpful and brunch on the 19th was great. I am certain we will saty again but will insist on being higher next visit.
