This Doubletree Arlington Heights is situated in the center of northwest Chicago's Greater Woodfield area. Its location just off the I-90 (Northwest Tollway) between Chicago's O'Hare International Airport and Schaumburg, Illinois, provides easy access to I-290.

This six-story Doubletree Arlington Heights offers 241 spacious guestrooms of 350 square feet; 85% of the rooms are designated nonsmoking. All feature signature bedding: The Sweet Dreams ® by Doubletree includes a plush-top mattress that is triple sheeted with high thread-count linens; a down comforter; a supply of jumbo pillows.
Complimentary high-speed Internet access is provided, as are speakerphones with voice mail, and desks with ergonomic chairs. In-room safes are also included.

Birch River Grill - American fare is served for all meals at this on site restaurant, which also features a cocktail lounge.
Room Service - Available from early morning until late evening.
Recreation
Guests of the hotel enjoy an indoor pool and a fitness room with a variety of exercise equipment.
A duck pond with benches and a one-mile walking/jogging trail are directly behind the hotel. Just 6.5 miles north is a public, 18-hole, golf course with a lighted driving range with 48 stalls. A forest preserve about one mile west of the hotel offers a 14-mile paved path, trails, and wildlife.

“No Smoking Room was Smoky”
My ratings refer to my second room. The 6th floor room I originally was booked into smelled very smoky at about 11 pm, and I found out that there were smokers allowed on the 5th floor...smoke drifts upward! After telling the front desk clerk that I cannot tolerate secondhand smoke, I was moved into a totally smoke-free room on second floor. If you have troubles with smoke in ANY form, don't get a room on the 6th floor until this policy changes. Otherwise, restaurant and indoor pool were both very clean, well-kept and elegant. Great Double Tree cookies. Beds in the room were very foam-topped, but new. Adequate back support. I prefer firm beds due to back issues.

Their's was among the friendliest staffs I ever have encountered, and the cookie was every bit as good as advertised! Very convenient location, and I liked the fact that first-run movies were available in the room.
“Good location, good service”
Great Hotel, very close to the airport. The workout room is open 24 hours a day. The restaurant is good, but a little pricy. There is a Dennys next door so this is a great travelers hotel for people still on international time. I will stay there again. This is one drawback, the hotel shuttle to the airport starts at 6:30 AM so if you have an 8 AM flight you will need to hire a taxi.

Room was clean and comfortable, staff was helpful, and the price was reasonable. Can't beat it.
“Awesome Room”
It's obvious this hotel underwent an interior upgrade as others have pointed out recently. The room was strictly top shelf... very nicely appointed and the bed/bedding was extremely comfortable. We stayed over a weekend and we felt the weekend rates were a very good value. Airport shuttle was easy to find and the driver was very courteous.
