“Like staying with Family, only better.”
Everyone was friendly; the front desk staff, dinning room staff and housekeeping staff, all made our stay so much fun. The rooms in this historic inn were very warm and comfortable. The beds were just right and there were several pillow thicknesses to please almost everyone. Showers were great too. This is a very safe area. We were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go. Great shopping and a huge array of eating establishments were close by. We've gotten so accustomed to our afternoon sherry that we are thinking this new tradition should be adopted at home.
“Good Experience”
I was really pleased that the hotel was located close to the Market and my favorite restaurants. Just about everything was within walking distance. The parking was good. The accommodations were very nice and comfortable. Our room had a gas fire place, which was nice. It kept the three of us warm on cold evenings. The continental breakfast could have been better with more offerings and variety. Overall, we were very satisfied with the staff and their willingness to help.
“King's Courtyard Inn IS King”
Beautiful old home with courtyardS. Lovely breakfast comes with, and is very filling- or you can order off the menu. Right out the front door is King Street, which is full of high end shopping. The back door leads you to the Market a couple blocks away. The front desk will help you arrange anything. LOVELY PEOPLE and PLACE>
“Centrally Comfortable”
King's Courtyard Inn is placed in one of the mein streets in Charleston, very conveninet for the market and shops. Our bedroom had a 4-poster bed which needed a footstool to climb onto it! Very comfortable room and the staff were all very helpful and courteous/
“Lovely old hotel”
The staff was lovely, helpful. We'd go back again in a heartbeat.
“Quaint and Charming”
This hotel is a hidden gem. Duck out the back door and through the parking lot and you're practically on top of the old slave market. The rooms were clean and charming with the canopy bed. We had a room at the back of the hotel - was very quiet but no elevator - had to lug our stuff to the 2nd floor. Not a problem for us but could be for some. There is an elevator in the main body of the hotel. There was a free wine and cheese party every afternoon. Also a choice of pastries or a "healthy" breakfast every AM. Consisted of fruit, ceral, yogurt, juice and a beverage - was actually too much food for me. The staff couldn't have been any nicer. The parking was an added bonus. It ended up costing us about $10 per day to park. We will choose the Kings Courtyard again.
“Loved, loved, loved Kings Courtyard Inn!”
This charming hotel fit the bill for our stay in Charleston. It's old world charm and up-to-date service were wonderful. We got lots of friendly help from the reception desk. We also enjoyed the free wine & cheese evenings and the price great considering the size of the room, the free w&c evening and nice continental breakfast. We did feel that after seeing so many wonderful patio gardens in the city that the hotel could work up thier's a bit more as it was a bit devoid of plants.
“Great Hotel”
Great location and very comfy rooms and bed. The breakfast was only adequate, but the price through Expedia was so good that breakfast out was no big deal. I would definitely go back.
“Weekend Getaway”
My wife and I recently stayed at Kings Courtyard Inn. We could not have been more satisfied. The historic charm of the hotel made it a very enjoyable stay. The staff was helpful. The location is excellent. The Sherry and Brandy are a nice touch. I will stay here the next time I go back to Charleston.
“I will be back!”
This is a very nice hotel in a great location! You step right outside of the hotel and are next door to the shopsl It had a nice veranda and large bedroom area with a fireplace. It was very cozy!
