“comfortable quiet night”

We had a nice stay at the Baker St Inn. We only stayed one night and needed a place with a restaurant close by. The location was close to other shops and restaurants. The bed was very comfy but not a king. there is an exercise room and spa but not a swimming pool. Parking is across the street but there is a loading zone so no big inconvenience. If you are looking for a view of the lake etc then this would not be the place. The staff was efficient and attentive. It is very quiet here so we like that.

THE ROOMS ARE VERY CLEAN AND WELL APPOINTED. CAN BE A LITLLE NOISE AND HARD TO COOL OFF THE RESTAURANT IS VERY GOOD AND VERY REASONABLE. FOR ME THE LOCATION IS PERFECT

“Close to downtown Nelson”

My son and I stayed in Nelson, BC for a night and enjoyed the Best Western, which is just a few blocks from the main part of downtown Nelson. We appreciated the quiet and the lake view, and also the provision of a fridge and microwave in every room. No breakfast is included, but there was a little coffeepot in the room. The hot tub looked OK, but we didn't use it as it was small and full when we checked. The fitness room is also small, and you have to walk through it to get to the hot tub, which is indoors. Overall the hotel has everything a person needs, but isn't in itself a destination - but it is close enough to downtown to provide a base for people who want to walk everywhere.

This hotel was perfect for us. We were only there for one night but it is very close to all the shopping; you can literally walk out the front door and start enjoying all the little shops in Nelson. The hotel was quiet, clean and our king sized bed was very comfortable. The room had a great TV, housecoats, microwave and fridge. We didn't use room service at all. The only thing I didn't like was all the smoking right in front of the entrance to the hotel. It would have been nice if they were out of the way the distance they are supposed to be. The restaurant food was okay, the service was very good. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

“Baker Street”

The only issue I would have with this hotel is the parking. Parking is available on the street or in a lot across the street. As the hotel is situated on a hill it is somewhat difficult for those travelling with seniors or small children to ferry their way across the road with luggage. While there is a loading zone in front of the hotel main doors, it is only accessible from one direction, so travellers must make a U-turn or find a place to turn around in a rather busy neighbourhood. Otherwise, restaurant is good and location is great in terms of being close to shopping, restaurants, bars etc.
