“Review”
Located right across the street of the train station. It is not very loud. Walking distance to other places.
“Everything you'd want from a cheap hotel”
It was real cheap. It was right across from the train station in a pretty good location for wandering Cannes or going to the beach. What else can three people backpacking on a budget want?
“A wonderful reasonably priced hotel in a great location”
The rooms are extremely small but very clean. The bathroom was fairly modern for France. The location is right beside the train station which is very handy. Our room faced the train station and a busy road so it was noisy with the windows open but in March this was not a problem. It appears that they have air conditioning in the summer so that would be good. For sleeping, they have the electronic storm shutter on the window that comes down. This not only blocks all light at night but also removes the noise which is great. The bed was very comfortable. Monoprix and great bakeshops and food shops all around. Very friendly and helpful staff. Didn't try the breakfast but the rooftop terrace was very nice. If you're looking for a good basic hotel, I would recommend L'Esterel.
“good hotel”
Hotel was good, in a good location.
“OK budget hotel”
I stayed in many European hotels -- if you are traveling to see the area (i.e. we only needed a place to sleep and shower that is clean and comfortable enough and safe), this is a well-priced hotel. my rating corresponds the fact that this is a 2 star hotel. hotel's location is good, staff was friendly and you can get an inexpensive, all you can eat breakfast on the top. restaurants are just outside hotel -- in case you are starving and need to snack quickly.
“Excellent quality/price”
I have stayed in many budget hotels, and this one is definitely among the best budget hotels one could find (especially in Cannes), one that is also in a convenient location (next to the train station). I have not tried their breakfast--too expensive for a continental breakfast--but otherwise have been very pleased with the hotel. I would definitely stay there again.
