“Excellent Hotel”

Nous avons ete agreablement surpris par la qualite de cet hotel. Nous avons trouve des chambres tres propres et confortables. Le personnel de l'hotel etait tres chaleureux. L'hotel se situe dans une rue pietonne et est a proximite de nombreux commerces et du vieux Nice. Nous y retournerons definitivement.

“Great Location for Trains”

We had a girlie holiday and we found the hotel to be really well situated for travelling to Monaco and Cannes... literally 3 mins walk to train station. Getting to the airport was easy too. A bus takes you there in approx 20-30 mins. The staff at hotel were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was slightly small but expected in Europe... lovely high ceilings compensated for poor AC... but I can imagine in Summer time it can get pretty stuffy...luckily we had large windows for fresh air and our room was very nice and quiet. Pebbly Beach about a 15 mins walk but a nice safe stroll pass the Massena Square...

“Great Location and good value for money”

This hotel had received good reviews from previous guests and we had picked it on the back of these. We were not disappointed. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and we were upgraded to a room with a balcony and an "upstairs" which was really different. We didn't eat breakfast in the hotel which, at 11 Euros was quite expensive, but there were plenty of really good places to eat near the hotel. The station is literally 5 mins walk away as is the main square which is beautiful with its fountains. My only complaint was that we were not able to leave our luggage on the last day. We were given a late check out until 1pm (normally noon) which helped but it did mean we had to head to the airport sooner than we would have liked. A small room set aside for luggage would make a big difference here.

“I can't wait to go back to Monaco”

The hotel is above average for Europe. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a big construction of light rail in front of the hotel, it'll prpbably be finished by summer. It's a wonderful place to visit. I would love to go back again.

“Great base for exploring the area”

We got the bus from the airport which drops you off at the train station, and the hotel is about a 5 min walk form there. Easy to find, and ideally located on the main street. We were in a front room, which could get a bit noisy if the windows were open, but fine with the windows closed. The old town and prom are about 20-30 mins walk, and there are lots of shops on the doorstep. We were in a standard room - a decent size with a nice bathroom. Good decor and clean. The only thing I could complain about in the room is lack of drawers - not a major gripe, but I like putting my underwear away! The hotel reception area is very small, just a desk and few chairs in the entrance hall, but the staff were helpful and friendly, and there is space to leave bags once you've checked out. We didn't have the breakfast at the hotel - there are loads of cafes near by within easy walking distance where you can get a good cup of coffee and a pastry at a more reasonable price. I would definitely recommend the Alba as a base for exploring the area, and would stay here again, but you might not like it here if you prefer to spend a lot of time in your hotel due to the lack of communal areas.

Good location. Close to train station and airport express bus stop. 10 minute walk down to the beach / old town, down one of the main shopping streets. Frequent tram is also available. Good value hotel with spacious rooms, and excellent friendly staff. Would not hesitate to stay here again!

This was a great hotel! Our room was HUGE! High ceilings, a huge window, separate entry with the bathroom, and plenty of closet space. The hotel was very clean. There isn't much in terms of extras (no pool, bar, or restaurant). It's about a 20 min walk to the beach. The hotel is located on a main street in Nice within walking distance to a supermarket, stores, resturants, and the train station. We got a great deal on expedia and were very happy with our stay.

“Ideal Hotel for a week's holiday”

Your can't be more central than staying in the Hotel Alba, which is situated on the main high street, Avenue de Jean Medicine. Our room wasn't huge, but was perfect for our 5 nights stay. Enough space to enjoy our stay. The beds could have been more comfortable (fairly hard), but staff were very attentive, friendly, and helpful. Our room looked out onto the main high street, so was fun, but we wouldn't have enjoyed the view from the rooms at the back of the hotel...very urban. Its about a 10-15 min walk down the high street to the pebble beaches and Promendade des Anglais.
