Lovely, welcoming base for exploration
"Fran is a wonderful host and crammed so many helpful little touches into the Old Stables, from a full set of guides and pamphlets to local activities to a comprehensive welcome package of essentials such as milk, water and cereals. It's nice to find a place to stay that even has sauces and salt and pepper - much overlooked by other property owners. We had a wonderful time, chilling out on the patio watching the sheep grazing and spotting wildlife. The property is perfectly positioned to access the Stag & Hounds pub (about a one minute walk) with its amazing food and warm welcome. A great base for all of the attractions in this beautiful area, including Melton Mowbray and Rutland Water. "
