"Had both units for our family, plenty of room. Didn’t realize it’s a second unit and not a 2br. Estancia is nice, quiet pool, but plenty of activity next door at Villa Palmar. Food is mediocre, tequila selection lacking, but plenty of great options in Bucerias, short taxi or walk. La Comer, nice grocery and easy to get to and stock the kitchen. Rented bikes next door to property and went on a long ride, good bike & running path, about 4 miles."

"The Rufugio del Mar was a beautiful property. We stayed in building 2 which only had 7 units. They all had their own kitchen and bedroom/s. The staff were super friendly and the pool and gardens were immaculate. I would recommend staying on the second floor if possible as the lower units can be a little dark and do absorb a bit of noise from the above units. The location is 2 blocks from the beach and the property includes free beach chairs and umbrellas. They also provide free top of the line...

"After reading all the positive reviews, I was pretty disappointed in this property and with the property owner. The positives: Bucerias is a beautiful place that is tourist-friendly without being completely crowded, even during Christmas week. It wasn’t nearly as crowded as Sayulita, but it has a great vibe and charm. "The property is in a good location and close to the center of bucerias. Room is clean but basic. Nice building and authentic decor. I felt safe but the facility is more like an Airbnb than an inn/hotel. Overall I would recommend as good value for what you pay. "

"First time to Bucerias, I wanted somewhere quite and I got that, right on the beach, short walk to Centro. Secure and private, used the pool a few times. Lots of options within an easy walk. Everyone was very friendly, mixture of guests and permanant occupants it appeared. If you want a big resort with everything provided, this is not the place for you. Already looking forward to staying again next time."
