"The hotel was "fancy" and the staff was exceptional. However, the surrounding area was quite isolated with not much to explore. We arrived early and were able to check in to our room. Unfortunately, there was some construction taking place at the hotel that was not mentioned during the booking process. "The property was in a great location halfway between Belize City and the airport with a beautiful setting on the water. Unfortunately, they could not find our reservation when we first arrived. There were some power issues and we lost power a couple times, making the apartment quite hot without the AC running. Also, we found a cockroach in the kitchen.
